How to Get The Best Deals Even If You’re Not A Prime Member

Amazon Prime Day is really two days, Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16, and is a day the online retailer puts a lot of its products on sale for a heavily discounted price.

A lot of companies that use Amazon to distribute their goods to their market also put their items on sale these two says as well.

If you don’t have a membership, don’t fear, you can get a Free 30 Day Trial by Signing up Today with my Affiliate Link Here then taking advantage of the deals.

If you do not ship products from Amazon as much as our and a lot of other families do, neither enjoy all the videos from its Prime Video then you can feel free to cancel the $13 monthly membership at the end of the trial and keep all the heavily discounted stuff you nab during prime day!

What I Have My Eye On:

I am a Prime Member on the hunt for a new Amazon Firestick for my mom and for our basement TV.

Celebrity Halloween 2018 Costumes (PHOTOS *UPDATED*)

Every year, celebrities go above and beyond to give superb portrayals for Halloween. This year did not disappoint. Here is a quick rundown of my faves including some from our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums like Ciara, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Jaime King and more.

Kylie Jenner recreated the Barbie in a box. It was one of several costumes she wore this season. She went as a Butterfly in a mommy and me photo with her daughter and as a Victoria Secret Angel group costume with her sisters. (see below)

The winner might be Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner killed as Gomez and Morticia Addams complete with Thing on his shoulder! Best hands down in my opinion this year!

oh I think Heidi Klum as Princess Fiona and Tom Kaulitz as Shrek as  is up there too!

Alicia Keys went over the top but in a good way as a Ninja. I mean, she had her entire costume as part of a movie poster and all with the credits including her children and husband.

Beyonce paid homage and tribute to Lil Kim last  year and this year, she went with another icon: Toni Braxton. She dressed as the pop crooner’s cover album for “Another Sad Love Song.

Actress, former model Jaime King dolled it up as Joan of Arc at Just Jared’s Halloween party presented by Carls Jr.

Ciara‘s costume portrayal of Black Panther heroine Nakia from Black Panther is 10X Levels Up! She did Wakanda right!

Crazy Rich Asians actor Harry Shum Jr. was boss as Eric Draven from the 1994 film The Crow,!

I wanted to go as Ariana Grande this year but I don’t think anyone did her better than Kourtney Kardashian did!

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend killed as Queen Elizabeth the II and Prince Phillip.

Winnie Harlowe as RuPaul

Bella Hadid and the Weeknd dress as Beetlejuice and Lydia when going to Heidi Klum’s Halloween party on October 31, 2018 in New York City. (Photo by Jackson Lee/GC Images)

Padma Lakshmi at Heidi Klum’s 19th Annual Halloween Party as The Black Swan

Kat Graham at Heidi Klum’s 19th Annual Halloween Party presented by Party City and SVEDKA Vodka  (Photo by Noam Galai/Getty Images for Heidi Klum)

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson as Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwazzeneger in “Twins”

Kelly Clarkson as a penguin and Jennifer Hudson as Catwoman

The Kardashian/Jenner girls were blessed to have Victoria’s Secret loan them actual angel wings so they can dress as true Angels for Halloween.

My fave is Kourt’s because she is tiny and the oldest

Bethenny Frankel could have joined the sisters because she too dressed as a Vicky Sec angel this year.

The Ladies of The Real TV talk show dressed up as iconic TV talk show hosts. Tamera Mowry-Housley was Tyra Banks. Jeannie Mae went as Ellen Degeneres. Loni Love dressed as Oprah Winfrey and Adrienne Houghton as Sally Jessy Raphael.

The TODAY show traditionally go all out for Halloween. This  year, I was thoroughly impressed by Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer dressed as Marty McFly and Doc Brown From Back to the Future.

Kelly Ripa is usually a show stopper wearing a variety of looks and costumes each Halloween with her hosts throughout the years, Regis, Michael Strahan and now with Ryan Secrest. They did a bunch of 80s TV show characters this year. She did it up as as Vicki the Robot From Small Wonder.

The two of them portrayed Jeannie and Major Nelson From I Dream of Jeannie.

And one of my fave shows: Laverne and Shirley‘s Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney.

Seacrest came out in a small model car like the one Ricky Stratton From Silver Spoons owned and drove in the opening sequence to that show.

Kelly Ripa, Ryan Seacrest, and Art More as a modern twist on the Friends Cast.

I loved Disney Channel stars Jenna Ortega and Asher Angel as Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson. I asked my husband to go as this duo to a Halloween party we were going to and he said no. Boo!

Monica is another celebrity that puts a lot of work into her Halloween costume every single year. She dressed as Johnny Depp‘s portrayal of the Mad Hatter.

Sarah Michelle Gellar looked hot as as Harley Quinn.

Adrienne Bosh could barely be made out in her Halloween Insta share as a Ghoulish Ghost.

One of my faves because of how close to the original it was is Madison Pettis from Nickelodeon‘s Cory in the House as Coachella Beyonce

Also loved Gwen Stefani as Sally From Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Speaking of which! Gabriel Union did a great job dressing as Stefani in No Doubt’s “Just a Girl” video before heading out to her birthday party.

No. Doubt. @gwenstefani

History-Making Black Panther Cinematographer Just Wrapped A Project At 8 Months Preggers

Cinematographer Rachel Morrison—whose numerous credits include Black PantherFruitvale Station, and an Oscar-nominated role on Mudbound— just wrapped a movie while 8 months pregnant and used the occasion to remind her followers and fans on Instagram that being pregnant is not an impediment to being great at  your art.

“There’s a common misconception that likens pregnancy to some kind of disability— the idea that women who are pregnant shouldn’t be active and can’t go about their normal lives… While no two pregnancies are the same, I just want to say that for many to most women this isn’t the case at all,” began Morrison, whose Mudbound Oscar nod was the first time a woman has been nominated for Best Cinematography. “I just wrapped a feature #againstallenemies at 8+ months pregnant.”

She continued: “Now I’m on to a commercial and I plan to keep shooting for as long as anyone will hire me knowing in a few weeks I may have to replace myself if I go into labor on set… the point is I am NOT a superhero. I am just going about my life doing the thing that I love for as long as I can because the more I work before baby the longer I can take off after. Which should also be MY choice and no one else’s. Physically speaking I could have gone back to work within a week of having my son. At the time, I lost many jobs because people were nervous to hire me so soon after the birth but again I say this should be left up to us. Pregnancy and motherhood in general is not a disadvantage and the craft doesn’t suffer as a result. If anything the added experience and enhanced empathy has made me a better cinematographer and filmmaker. That’s all. Happy Friday! #femalefilmmakerfriday #shootfilm #cseries #panavisionofficial 📷 by @loganwhitephoto”

Morrison—, ever—noted that she “lost many jobs because people were nervous to hire me so soon after” the birth of her first child a few years back. “But again I say this should be left up to us. Pregnancy and motherhood in general is not a disadvantage and the craft doesn’t suffer as a result. If anything the added experience and enhanced empathy has made me a better cinematographer and filmmaker.”

Celeb Parents at NBA’s All Star Weekend

This past weekend was a busy one with the BAFTA Awards, the Black Panther movie opening and the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend.

A couple of our current Bellyitch Bumpwatch mamas showed up and out including third-time mom-to-be Ayesha Curry who rooted on her husband Goldenstate Warriors star player Steph Curry as he lead Team Curry. They lost to our Bellyitch alum Savannah Brinson James‘ husband LeBron James team but that didn’t stop Ayesha from bigging up her man in an instgram post.

W my love celebrating last night. So proud of you,” the cook book author captioned a photo of herself in an AC/DC tee, casual sweats and a leather jacket with the 2017 NBA MVP crouching down giving her bump a kiss.

First time mom-to-be Khloe Kardashian attended the “Game is Everything” dinner kicking off the weekend with her beau Cleveland Cavalier  Tristan Thompson.

LeBron James was named All-Star MVP for the third time in his career this past weekend at the 2018 NBA All-Star game. James handpicked his team and then carried it to victory in a win for “Team LeBron” over “Team Stephen” on Sunday.

Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko Parrish Hart and kids were there as was Beyonce  taking selfies with daughter Blue Ivy Carter and mama Tina Lawson and her husband Richard Lawson nearby.

Fun Times! Congrats to Team LeBron!

Which Valentine’s Day Look Are You? CHOOSE!

Valentine’s Day is coming up. Thinking of what to wear? You only have a few days to get it together. Go with what fits your mood if you’re going on a date with your honey or out for a post Galentine’s Day frollick with your girlfriends.

You can get sexy and show off some leg like Style Pantry blogger Folake Kuye Huntoon or Kylie Jenner or be more covered and rock lace or a massive frock Victorian lady like current mom-to-be Chrissy Teigen wore recently.

Valentine’s Day is the day before the much-anticipated Black Panther movie premieres and African wear is in order. Pair two different prints and center them all with a big and bold black belt. You can do the Sex Kitten or Vixen look in a body con dress like the one Taraji P. Henson sizzled in on the red carpet or keep it HBIC (Head Bitch In Charge) with an insanely fierce Victoria Beckham dress.

For moms-to-be, a fave of ours, Isabella Oliver, sells a pretty cute Red one-shoulder ruched dress that Bethenny Frankel, Sienna Miller, Ali Larter and Brit stars Danielle Lloyd and Myleene Klass others have worn and loved the one shoulder ruched dress in crimson or the Burlington  Maternity dress.

We hand selected some red dresses and looks to draw some inspiration from using tools from our friends at Shopstyle Collective. Good luck and do enjoy your day!

NEW: Jay Z Drops Visually-Stimulating Celeb-Studded Futuristic Video for ‘Family Feud’ (PHOTOS and VIDEO)

If you follow this blog, you know I am a die-hard Beyonce, also a Jay and Bey fan and a fangirl of sci-fi and action movies so, I was quite geeked to immediately open up and peep the brand new video for Jay Z‘s song “Family Feud” off of his 444 album which melds all of my faves into one fantastical, visually-stimulating treat.

And I must say, the cinematography is on point….

All the Yeses to the Ava DuVernay-directed futuristic video which gives me “Black Panther” vibes, because it is set the year 2444 in a universe where Power‘s Omari Hardwick is the co-President of the Free World and is the direct descendant of the matriarch of a fantastical diverse group of women, dubbed the Fore-mothers, who re-configured the US Constitution in the year 2050 along with a pact called the “Confessional Papers”, per the prose in the video.

ETA: the director explained the video:

Westworld’s Irene Bedard plays a co-President

A Native American woman is the co-President played by Westworld’s Irene Bedard.

Yes to This is Us star Susan Kelechi Watson playing an adult Blue Ivy Carter who quotes her dad during that meeting saying “ Nobody wins when the family feuds,” a line from the song.

The Mindy Project’s Mindy Kaling heads the meeting

Yes to the union of leaders led by a character played  by a then-pregnant Mindy Kaling and featuring council members portrayed by ….

Claws‘ Neicy Nash, Angie Tribeca and Parks & Recreation‘s Rashida Jones, Room‘s Brie Larson, Marvel’s Luke Cage and The Defenders‘ star Rosario Dawson, trans advocate, journalist and and social commentator  Janet Mock, who are among the women who are tasked to lead the effort to set the world straight — as it should be because you know, given this “Me Too” era in the nation (and world), it really will take a small army of Women to do the job.

Fresh Off the Boat‘s Constance Wu

The Office’s Rashida Jones and Rosario Dawson, who stars in Marvel’s The Defenders, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage

Yes to the fictional president’s feuding for power family played by a Thandie Newton outfitted in a LeeLo from The Fifth Element-like bandage onesie  who fights with her brother played by Creed and Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan .

Creed and Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan

Jessica Chastain cameos

David Oyelowo

Yes to the president’s ancestors saving the world from a time when “Make Us Great” meant make us fear one another!

America Ferrera is a warrior

Yes to Beyonce sitting on her throne on the other side of a Catholic confessional, metaphorically and literally, waiting to assign penance to Jay for reportedly cheating on her, as is referenced in the song.

Oh and yes to Blue making a cameo too!

From People:

All the celebrities who made cameos shared behind-the-scenes photos from filming once the video was released exclusively on Tidal.

This is far from JAY-Z’s first video featuring some Hollywood heavyweights.

He previously dropped the Friends-inspired clip for “Moonlight” with Tessa Thompson, Tiffany Haddish, Jerrod Carmichael and Issa Rae as well as the Lupita Nyong’o-starring “MaNyfaCedGod” and “Adnis” starring Mahershala Ali.

JAY-Z’s 18th studio album, 4:44, recently received eight Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album.
