This week, the beautiful petite actress headed to the AT&T and Tribeca Host Luncheon AT&T Presents: Untold Stories – an Inclusive Film Program in Collaboration With Tribeca event during the Tribeca Film festival. She rocked a sleeveless Ronny Kobo dress and jewels by Erickson Beamon and super cute sunflower pumps.

More recently, this morning again, she stunned on the Wendy Williams show outfitted in a dress by Hemant & Nandita, jewels by Erickson Beamon and Bliss Lau and shoes by Sergio Rossi while promoting season 4 of her hit Starz channel show.

And earlier this month, she was glam and fab at the New York special screening event of  the new STARZ  show The White Princess hosted by STARZ & Refinery29 at Metrograph on April 5, 2017 in New York City.

She and the dad-to-be spent a baby moon in Hawaii a few weeks back. Naughton shared a photo of her spouse toting her on the beach. Sweet!

Trending this Spring: STRIPES!

Listen, so stripes are BIG this Spring and ordinarily women are told to avoid stripes because horizontal ones are said to make one look wider. When there’s a baby on the way, growing a big belly is going to happen and you’d think that stripes would be a definite trend to skip this round, right?

Well, hold on there, fashionable mamas to be! There are several ways to integrate stripes in your Spring look. Naturally, accessories like scarves, jewelry, handbags and shoes are a way to do it. However, you can go with wider stripes or colored stripes in contrasting, non-complementary colors or with super thin pin-stripes. Definitely vertical stripes also can buck the widening illusion of traditional horizontal stripes.

We’ve curated a few styles to show you items you can use to achieve the look.

I tried on Most of Victoria Beckham’s Target Collection Released Today

17883827_10154176504976353_516278969222178939_nLast October, we let you know that our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum and blog fave Victoria Beckham was set to launch her first ever children’s line as a part of a collaboration with big box retailer Target.

Well that time is now, actually today April 9 thru the end of the month April 30 while supplies last, you can get VB x Target clothing for toddlers, kids, and adults.

I headed over to my local Target after a friend texted me a reminder that the clothing was available and being snatched up in Target stores nationwide and I wanted to experience it for myself first hand and get some snaps of the pieces on the shelves and racks.  I was expecting something like the  the carnage that went down when Balmain released a line for H&M.

Beckham is following in the footsteps of other designer brands including Rodarte, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Jason Wu, Missoni, and Peter Pilotto, which have all dreamed up affordable wares for Target over the years. “For a while now, I have been thinking, how great it would be to work on clothes for a customer that either doesn’t want to pay or can’t pay designer prices,” Beckham said in a statement. “So when Target — a company based on accessibility and inclusiveness — proposed a collaboration which combined all of these things, it was an easy decision to make.”

Beckham’s collabo was different because hers will have larger sizes in the store where before they were only available online, and it was cause for criticism in the past, as with the insanely popular Lilly Pulitzer collaboration.

In any of event, when I got to my local store, I didn’t see any mad rush but rather a few families checking out the racks. I waited patiently for them to skedaddle along because I wanted to get a good photo of the Sign.

This store had the entire collection for all age groups in one section. I could easily ascertain that the cute grey ribbed jumper sets, the layette collection of bibs and onesies were for babies. The girl toddler selection is absolutely aforable and they looked like the kind of clothes you could imagine Harper Beckham wore when she was that age.

But not so much with the other items in the collection, which comes in signature colors of black, white, grey, orange and brand mascot bunny and bees. The collections include: Circus Scallops, Pressed English flowers, English Lace, Clever Bunny and Pop Floral.

Because the clothing for children mirror the adult version and there were a lot of sheath dresses, I didn’t know which was for kids and which for adults.

I like what I saw, generally.  The quality of the construction  of the clothing, the material’s weight and the look were all top quality. They had a high end aesthetics to them as well. My fave is the see thru raincoat for kids.

Also, I loved the paper dolls, coloring book and sticker books.

Because I wanted to see how the clothing would look on an average size and shaped woman who is not a model, I tried on a few pieces.

Again, I couldn’t tell from just looking at the clothing which would fit. They all looked to run large, and I saw a few people on social media complaining about that but when you actually put on the pieces, you realize they aren’t large at all. Just in case, I picked up an item in every size and would you believe, she fit in them all!?! Look:

Admittedly, I squeezed in this orange. It is a size xs and I could certainly go up two sizes. *snicker*. My fave piece is the  Black Calla Lily Button Down Top. It fit quite comforably and I really dig the Nero type collar.

These pieces are among the other 200 items in the ready to wear line that includes rompers, playful tops and dresses. About designing for kids, Beckham said it was something she has wanted to do for years.
“Designing for children is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, so I was incredibly excited to be able to incorporate childrenswear into this collection,” she said on a blog post on the Target site. “When working on it, I really felt I could tell a story and have fun with it—and I think the clothes reflect just how much fun I had designing them! Being a mother has helped me understand what’s important when it comes to the category. I have had years of learning that function is often just as important as form, and that children need to be able to feel comfortable and free in what they wear. For me it was really all about finding a balance between the fun elements and the real-life functionality of a garment.”

Victoria Beckham for Target ranges in price from $6-$70, with most items under $40, and will be offered in sizes XS-3X for women and NB-XL for girls, toddler and baby. The collection will be available April 9 through April 30, 2017, or while supplies last, at all Target stores and Target.com with  select pieces available for global shoppers via VictoriaBeckham.com. There are a few online exclusives as well.

Before the launch, Beckham shared a commercial for the line which she says is reminiscent of her days as a member of the popular 1990s British girl group, the Spice Girls. In the background to the commercial plays the group’s most famous song, “Spice Up Your Life.”

She also said the inspiration was her daughter.

“I’m reading my life with Harper and what we do as mother and daughter not just with regards to the clothes, but I created some little coloring books and sticker books, and, you know, it’s things that myself and Harper do in England together,” Beckham explained in a promo video. “This is celebrating my relationship with my daughter, and I think it’s great that other women can do exactly the same…. The inspiration behind this campaign was a world of possibilities–make-believe, imagination, and the unexpected.”

Easter Sunday Dress and Suits for Kids Guide

Bellyitch Rewind 1b

Easter is around the corner. For many families, that also means it’s time to start hunting down that perfect Easter dress or suit.  Dressing in Sunday’s best for church service is customary. And even for non-religious families, drive essing up for Easter Egg Hunts or photos with the Easter Bunny at the mall present a good opportunity to have and excuse to buy digs for the kids.

Girls usually wear headbands, white tights, patent leather Mary Janes and floral dresses with pastel sweater. Easter is also a great time for a little girl to wear her first string of pearls (authentic or faux) and other nice jewelry from Baptism, Christening, Christmas that parents just store away for special occasions.

And of course, their pretty dresses. 3b

Boys are outfitted in smart suits with vest jackets.

Another option to a formal suit is a nice dress shirt in Spring colors, pastels or plaid or another nice print.

Or, even more casual, a little boy could wear a colorful polo shirt and khaki shorts or plants.

Yes even You Preginistas Can Rock the Off-the-shoulder Trend

off-the-shoulderYou wouldn’t think that the off-the-shoulder trend that’s hot this Spring would be pregnant lady appropriate but it definitely is!

Think about the cut in most tops with that fashion flare. They’re typically made of light material. Perfect because you get over heated a lot and you’re not about that sweating like a pig life.

And off-the-shoulder tops are typically A-line and have an empire waist Cut meaning no pressure on your achy boobs that are preparing for breast feeding.

The only concern may be the naked shoulder thing if that’s a concern. Otherwise, don’t be shy about being trendy too and picking up an off-the-shoulder too or dress soon!

These Are My Chic Work-At-Home Fave Looks

As a work-at-home mom, I live in casual clothing. My school drop off gear usually include yoga or sweatpants, a tee shirt, a baseball cap and slip on sneakers. For casual lunch dates with other mom friends, a coffee shop meet up with a consultant client, or running errands, I try to dress it up a little bit more but not by much. I share some of my favorite looks on my Instagram account @WAHMStyle. (Follow Me There!)

My go-tos during the winter are chunky sweaters over denim jeans, or a silk turtleneck with a blazer. In the Fall, I live in lined leggings under collared shirts. Summer is for sundresses and maxi dresses; and Spring, I’m all about cute and frilly blouses with cropped pants.

I was going through our Pinterest outfits board and spotted a few looks I think represent the look of a casual work at home mom.

I love a Converse high top sneakers. A pair in mint green is ideal for summer and for breathing life and energy into a casual outfit. Distressed jeans are great because you don’t have to bother to press them out which is essential for a hurried mom blogger. A comfy casual screen tee tops off this casual look. Because I work for myself, I am free to experiment with color! So turquoise or Tiffany blue nails are among my favorites.  GET THE LOOK!

In the Spring, cropped boyfriend jeans are perfect because they’re loose and not too snug for when the temperature is warmer but still provide ample coverage for cooler Spring days.  Ballet flats are a comfy option for quick trips because you can leave them by the door and slip them on easily as you head out. I love yellow because it lifts the mood and is overall a good color match for me. I like this Aztec print black and white shirt because of the interesting pattern detail. Chunky jewelry are signature for my style and this bright yellow necklace is to die for! GET THE LOOK!

For casual meetings or casual happy hours, a nice dark colored dress under a blazer or denim jacket work. Wedges or Espadrilles give me height so I can see eye to eye to who I am networking with and a brown slouch bag is a nice in between of super casual and upscale chic. Gold jewelry, wooden cuffs and unique earring are also conversation pieces. GET THE LOOK!

Finally, I love a Maxi Dress because it is among the most flattering styles of dresses. They usually come in cute and funky patterns and can be worn with sandals, flip flops, wedges or low heels; and under a denim  jacket or cardigan. They can be dressed up or down. Fabu! GET THE LOOK!

And there you have it! You can find links to get these looks from the Bellyitch Blog Pinterest Board‘s Outfit Board HERE!

What Hot Moms Named J.Lo Wear on Weekends

It’s weekend! Time for kids activities, practices and games, trips to the mall, hikes and journeys to visit friends and family or join in celebration. It’s highly likely that you’ll be spending your downtime in sweats, yoga pants, comfy jeans, t-shirts and tennis shoes.

But will you be looking like Jennifer Lopez? At 47-years young, she has a sick body, and a long list of boy toys (though the current one is retired major league baseball player Alex Rodriguez we hear).

We spotted the hot mama in a cropped white top showing off her insanely ripped and toned abs, a pair of Lululemon yoga pants and Neon Green Nike trainers, oh and of course, naturally, carrying a $ 7,000 white Hermes Birkin bag, the ultimate luxury tote for a woman of means, wealth and influence.

If only…right? Well, actually, if you can, why not!? Look! SHOP!
