Congrats to Real Housewives of Orange County alum Gretchen Rossi who welcomed her first child, daughter Skylar Gray Smiley, after infertility struggles.
The former Bravolebrity shared the news after the birth via C-Section on July 10.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum updated fans on how the delivery of her daughter via C-section went in a post on Instagram on Thursday, July 11.
“God is Great!! Skylar Gray Smiley arrived safely into this world today! Most amazing [and] emotional day of my life!” Rossi shared in one of her portraits from her maternity shoot taken at 38 weeks pregnant. “I am doing good as well of course I have some pain from the c-section, but it was all so worth it!”
She promised more details but thanked her fans and followers for their prayers and love.
Rossi famously shared that she lost over 14 embryos during the process to child to carry a baby to term.
“After the first round of IVF, when we lost 14 embryos, I looked at Slade and said, ‘I just need to take a pause,'” Rossi said during the episode of The Doctors. “This is beyond anything I had ever expected to experience. It literally took a good year and a half for us to even get to a point where I was willing to talk about it again.”
When she finally was successful, she had been very open and transparent with each step of the way in the media and social media with her followers and fans.
Earlier, she shared formal very glam maternity portraits that she exclusively shared with PEOPLE magazine.

Dad is Slade Smiley a security advisor who was featured prominently on the Bravo TV housewives series for several years.
This is his third child. He has an 18-year old son named Grayson from a previous relationship who has been battling brain cancer since 2006, when he was just 5 years old and a 27-year old son named Gavin.
The couple’s daughter’s middle name, Gray, honors Grayson.
