Serena Williams Daughter Is Latest Celeb Baby with Verified Instagram Account

Ever since Serena Williams and her fiance Alexis Ohanian created an Instagram page for their newborn daughter Alexis Ohanian, Jr, we’ve been waiting for it to get verified status!

We checked and now the sweet gorgeous baby girl, whose initials are AO, same as the initials of the Tennis Grand Slam championship her mom won while pregnant with her, Austrialian Open, has been verified.

With this status, the baby girl follows behind singer and dancer Teyana Taylor and NBA’s Cleveland Cavalier player Imani Shumpert ‘s daughter Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr who not only has had a verified account since a baby but is also a female junior, named after her dad — just like Alexis! (Great trend!)

Other  celebrity babies with verified Instagram pages include reality TV star, singer and businesswoman Kandi Burruss‘s son Ace Wells Tucker; record-breaking winning Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps; son Boomer Phelps and, Chanel, daughter to reality TV star Cocoa  Austin and her husband Ice T.

Alexis Jr already has close to 70,000 followers already and is right behind Ace Tucker who had over 100,000 when he was just 8 weeks old.

Check out their accounts below:

He even has his own music video set to a recent photo shoot. Too cute! He is a star already!

Those two have set the bar a bit higher for other popular celebrity babies with major followings like Ace and Baby Chanel, daughter to Cocoa  Austin and Ice T.

By the way, this Tennis fan claims to have predicted the name and she may be right because she has receipts to prove that Alexis follows her tweets! Nice!

I Love that Mila Kunis Keeps it 100 All the Time!

I love celeb mamas who keep it real, including A Bad Moms Christmas star Mila Kunis who recently opened up to ET about a variety of topics from family, the holiday traditions, to shedding baby weight and I’m here for it all!

You can catch a video of the interview here!

But among my fave parts include when she responded to the question about how she lost her baby weight after the birth of her now 10-month old son Dimitri. (She and husband actor/investor Ashton Kutcher are also parents to 3-year old daughter Wyatt). She didn’t mince words.

“Lots of gym-ing. I hate someone who’s like, ‘This is all natural.’ Bullsh**. It’s not natural.” Ha! Love it! That’s right!

Also, it was like re-living watching moments from scenes of her role in the original Bad Moms when she got stressed out about raising her fictional children to be good people when she said this:

“Yeah, we’re not gonna raise a**holes. There’s enough a**holes in this world! We don’t need to contribute. But, you know, there’s some nice people.”

Amen sister!

I too come from a inter-religious family that celebrates many holidays and my husband grew up in a country, Trinidad, that celebrates Hindu, Christian, Muslim and several other religious as public holidays, so I could dig her answer on how her family celebrates the holidays:

“I come from communist Russia, where you’re not allowed to be happy, so my holiday traditions are ‘be quiet.’ Coming to America is when you realize Christmas has a magical quality to it. In Russia, back in the day, it was a very religious holiday, so you don’t celebrate Christmas if you’re not Christian and if you’re not at Mass. So, I being Jewish, was like, ‘Christmas is not for you.’ We come to America and we’re like, ‘Christmas is so inclusive.’ We literally bought a Christmas tree. So as far as tradition goes, my family’s big on any excuse to get the family together and get drunk. Whether it’s Easter, which we’ve now all accepted into our Jewish household, or Christmas, it doesn’t matter. It’s all family time, but having kids, we’re building up our own little versions of tradition.”

Very cool.

Kunis is a woman and a mom right after my own heart! <3 Can’t wait to see her again in A Bad Mom’s Christmas! Loved the first movie so much!

Gabrielle Union’s 9 Miscarriages Show Why You Shouldn’t Make Assumptions About Childless Women

Being Mary Jane star Gabrielle Union opens up about suffering 8 or 9 miscarriages, and having fertility struggles in her new book, “We’re Going to Need More Wine.”

The actress writes in the book, which is a collection of essays, “for three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant—I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”

Union and Miami Heat NBA basketball player Dwyane Wade have been married since 2014.

She also talks about how being a stepmom to her husband’s three sons from previous relationships, 15-year old Zaire, 10-year old Zion and 3-year old Xavier changed her mind on wanting to have her own children.

“I never wanted kids,” she shared. “Then I became a stepmom, and there was no place I’d rather be than with them.”

In a December 2014  interview with Uptown magazine, Union opened up about that desire.

“I think my brain and my heart are screaming baby fever… I’ve lasted 42 years without having a human being come from one of my orifices and I feel okay and fulfilled and happy,” she said. “If it does happen, it’s a miracle—a medical miracle at least. I mean, we’d love to. We’ll see what my ovaries say.”

She told the site that if she does not conceive, she will be okay. “I have really awesome stepkids, so I feel equally as fulfilled.”

But alas, we know that the plans to have a baby had started since way back then and she is still on that journey.

While working on starting her family, the Birth of a Nation actress has to endure the pain of constant rumors about her being pregnant.

Ugh! The dreaded celebrity bump watch speculation!

“Once a month I look like I’m in my second trimester because I’m bloated,” she shared, referring to the side-effects of her IVF injections. “It leads to the questions and it leads to the rumors and anytime I go into a doctor’s office I feel like I’m a member of SEAL Team Six undercover because I don’t want people to speculate.”

Then it’s the constant prodding by well-meaning people who just ask invasive and insensitive questions.

“For so many women, and not just women in the spotlight, people feel very entitled to know, ‘Do you want kids?’” Union said. “A lot of people, especially people that have fertility issues, just say ‘no’ because that’s a lot easier than being honest about whatever is actually going on. People mean so well, but they have no idea the harm or frustration it can cause.”

And there you have it! The reason why one should never make presumptions and impose on women’s private live about family-starting.

You can pre-order the book now though it won’t be released until October 17.

Thank You Tamera Mowry-Housley for Raising Awareness About C-Section Postpartum Woes

Tamera Mowry-Housley shared some of her own personal insight into some of the pains that women who undergo a C-Section endure when viewers of her FOX panel talk show The Real started to reply to a segment today on the show.

One follower who replied to her general tweet about the realities of C-section especially when you’re nursing.

“I know sum1 whose c-section stitching came undone just from tryin to get out of the shower,” the Twitter user Eunice responded.

To that, The Real co-host said hers “came undone when” she “had to pick up” her son, Aden. Ouch!

Mowry-Housley and her husband FOX News Correspondent Adam Housley welcomed daughter Ariah Talea in July 2015 and son Aden Tanner in November 2012.

What followed was heartwarming and great for awareness building. Many other users offered their own stories which could elevate the understanding among those who have never had a C-section or have misconceptions about it.

I know personally,I could relate to the one about the guts on the tray. My husband almost passed out when she made the mistake of peering over the surgery screen and got an eyefull of entrails! Eeeek!

“Women don’t get enough credit for enduring this surgery(they put your organs on a tray, my Husband looked)&then going right into motherhood,” a woman named Dawn Venosa Mannix added to the discussion.

“It hurt to laugh, sneeze, cough, pee. Everything hurts,” chimed in user named Beach Bunni.  “We still have to care for our newborn while healing. It makes us stronger though.”

So true, sister!

Writing for HuffPo Parents, blogger Kate Auletta offers 9 things no one tells you about C-Section.

DURING THE SURGERY

1. That “mild tugging sensation” line was clearly first said by a man. Mild is perhaps the understatement of the century. You feel like the wind is being taken out of you as your teeth chatter from the anesthesia. This is not a surgery for claustrophobes, as you’re completely stuck on the table — arms pinned down — while the inability to breathe overwhelms you.

IN THE HOSPITAL

2. The catheter keeps you company in the days following birth because you can’t really walk to the bathroom without those trusty ab muscles helping you out (more on that below). And then, as in all cases with a catheter, you have to learn to pee again — the longer the catheter is in, it seems, the harder it is to remember how to pee. Also not fun when you have a nurse and some loved ones waiting outside the bathroom door and you feel like you’re 5 again.

3. Have someone teach you how to even get up and out of bed. Congratulations! Your ab muscles are completely non-existent now. The good news: Your arms are gonna get buff.

AT HOME

4. Do yourself a solid and go to your local drug store (or better yet, send someone else) to buy some big-ass high-waisted underwear. You’re not gonna want anything — zippers, buttons, elasticized underwear — coming near your stomach, especially the birth area, for a while.

5. Walking is a challenge. Your core is called your core for a reason. Go easy on yourself.

6. Those drugs are your best friend. Give yourself some time to wean off the heavy stuff. Stock up on Aleve, which you’ll also need daily, and be prepared to use it A LOT.

7. I’m getting really real here now: Get some Colace. Your first bowel movement will hurt that much more since you have no stomach muscles with which to push. But man, will you be proud when you walk out of that bathroom.

8. You can’t lift anything because of how it can affect your core, and you can’t really lean over to even empty the dishwasher. Basically, best case scenario is that you’re an immobile, milk-producing machine with a baby attached to your breast sideways cause you’re scared he or she will kick the scar.

9. Don’t worry. No matter how your child is born, it’ll still likely be the best thing that ever happens to you, you tired shell of your former self.

Thank you!

So, Yeah, This InstaFamous Fitness Instructor Has a Six Pack 9-Days PostPartum

Australian fitness instructor and Instagram influencer Chontel Duncan showed off a photo of her six pack taken only 9 days after giving birth to her second child, son Swayde, this past September 20.

In the caption to the September 29 Instagram post, the former Miss Universe finalist anticipates that she would get mad backlash and hate for posting such an image which is unrealistic for we would guess 90% of the women who give birth.

“Now before anyone jumps down my throat saying anything negative, think before you type,” the Australian starts in a photo of herself in a bra and panty with a super trim tummy exposed. “Everyone is unique and different in their own special way. There is no ‘one journey’ or one way, this is my ‘normal.’”

The statuesque new mom-to-two catapulted to viral stardom back in November 2015 when she posted a bump-to-bump photo of herself and a training partner who was as far along in her pregnancy as Duncan at the time. She was pregnant with her now 18-month old son Jeremiah at the time.

“Each woman carries differently and this most certainly doesn’t mean one is doing something wrong or not healthy,” she wrote in her November 2015 post. “We both have healthy growing babies & we both have had incredible pregnancies so far, feeling amazing & full of energy.”

Swayde came into the world via C-section and the 28-year-old added to her caption that she was “blessed” with an easy pregnancy free of morning sickness.

Must be nice!

And we also noticed a photo booth was available and peeped a couple of cute Labs with the clip-on manes dressed up as Lions.  Cute!

Also, spotted a nice three tiered cake in the color scheme and nicely wrapped themed cookies favors on a cute candy table with baby Kenzo’s named spelled out.

Kimora Lee Simmons’ son with ex Djimon Honsou is also named Kenzo, which is Japanese for strong and healthy.

Toya Wright’s Pregnancy Reveal Video is Up There in Top Most Creative

Reality Tv star, biz woman and author Toya Wright is a serious contender for most creative pregnancy announcement!

The boutique owner elicited the help of an actress to play a family therapist and her daughter, Reginae Carter (who she had with ex-husband rapper Lil Wayne and who stars in WE TV‘s Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta) to reveal the news that she is expecting her second child.

In the video skit posted on her Instagram, Carter reluctantly goes to open the door to the family home to welcome the therapist.

In the next scene, with mom and daughter sitting side-by-side, “Dr. Stevenson” asks the 18-year old, “So Reginae,” the doctor begins. “What seems to be the problem? Trouble in school? Communication? Teen pregnancy?”

Reginae shakes her head and says “That’s not me. That’s her,” then points to her mom who rubs her belly as the camera pans down to reveal a very large baby bump!

The New Orleans native who starred in  BET’s Toya: A Family Affair and Tiny and Toya, uses the pregnancy announcement post to also promote her lastest book, “You Just Don’t Get It”.

It’s quite creative. Watch:

Wright, who is twice divorced, did not reveal who the dad is to her second child.
