Crave: Hot Fall Nail Colors To Get Now

On the hunt for a new fall nail color? This time of the year, moms, moms to be and other women who like to switch up their nails and experiment

If you live in the part of the country where jewels and other adornments on the nails are common, or if you work in the fashion industry, you might want to check out the latest trends in nail art and jewels.

I love variations of burgundy, blues and orange for the fall. Also, yellow and forest green are common hues as well.

‘Dark is Green’ with this Posh Mommy and Me Emo Aesthetic Organic Vegan Couture Brand

This post was sponsored by Infantium Victoria

Halloween is next week and it’s a perfect time to experiment with a family or a mommy and me costume. There are tons of famous pairs in pop culture, literature, television and film and history that you could consider going as.

Everyday is Halloween for German kids’ couture luxe vegan clothing brand Infantium Victoria.

Founded in 2014 by designers Julia Gaydina and Dinie van den Heuvel, IV specializes in high-end organic and vegan fashion for kids.

The aesthetic of the clothing reflects the creators’ stated fascination with the nostalgia and feel of dark, goth-like romantic themes. The styling  along with the cut, color and design of  the exquisite and almost artistic-looking pieces in this brand reflect that fact that it is the precise opposite of the fast fashion trend.

It takes time and care to produce each offering in this collection and that’s because each is  made of ethically sourced fabrics and manufactured at plants that consider the environment, ecology and the quality of life of the  humans that make them.

Indeed, Infantium Victoria turns black green as each avante-garde garment is 100% organic and PETA-approved vegan

The label is the opposite of fast fashion  and the price point, 200 Euros for Black Dress with Trail my niece Aubrey models in the photos on this post, for example, is not without reason.

You really should expect to pay for quality craftsmanship and the detailing and extra effort that go into making each garment, from the carefully selection materials, to the ethical ways each is produced.

For example, the  textured cotton-polyethylene mash in this dress, and in IV’s bibs, pants, and hats, is produced by the French Bugis Group, a company that has  banned all chemical coloring agents such as chlorite, sulphur and benzene, and is steadily working to decrease its water and energy consumption as well as air emissions.

Dutch distributor Ecological Textiles creates the tulle in IV’s for skirts and sleeves and is known for being environmentally-sound and for sourcing fair trade textiles.

The Egyptian cotton in many of IV’s designs is cultivated from farms in Egypt, Africa and the linen fabric in its pieces made of Linen is 100% biodegradable and recyclable, and made in a way that minimizes the environmental impact  via spinning and weaving flax.

Buttons are custom made out of coconut shells and embossed with the Infantium Victoria logo by the German button maker Knopf&Knopf.

The dress generously gifted to Bellyitch to review is well constructed and features a pleated skirt, an asymmetric front panel with a raw hemline you may be able to notice in the photo below.

I love the collar ribbon and the piece itself can be worn as part of any costume that has a dark theme or as a base for another costume. Add a bat, cat, Minnie Mouse (see above and below) headband or some other ears for Halloween. You can easily repurpose this dress after Halloween and have your little one wear it for a performance dress  or for a Holiday recital around Christmas time.

Designed in Germany, and handcrafted in Portugal, this dress is a classic statement piece and comes in sizes to accommodate 6 months to 10 years old .

It can also be worn by an adult in a similar style or color and convert it into a Mommy and Me or an Auntie and Me  pairing as in the case of me and my God baby, Aubrey.

Below is a model from the company’s website so you can get a sense of how it would look on an older girl. It’s quite captivating and eye catching! I love it.

Order this dress for 200 Euros ($222 US) here or check out the other options from its Halloween collection but really, any of the pieces can be worn any time of the year and for all sorts of occasions.

This Hot Fall Color Was Predicted the ‘It’ Shade 2 Years Ago

neo mint

neo mint

Did you know that there are companies that use a combination of social science, deep insight and instinct to predict trends up to 24 months before they enter the retail space?

That’s right and one such organization, WSGN, two years ago predicted that the color Neo-Mint will be hot in 2020! As predicted, the shade was seen a lot on the runways of many designer’s Spring 20 collections!

It has gender neutral appeal and can be worn by virtually anyone. If you’re a fan of color, go bold by wearing a flare skirt or quirky socks with the color embedded in it. Or play it safe with accent colors or wearing neo-mint accessories like a purse, scarf or jewelry.

Here are some ideas to incorporate mint in your wardrobe this season and next:

A Look Back at Anne Hathaway’s Stunning Red Carpet Maternity Style

anne hathaway fashion red carpet

Anne Hathaway has had some super glamorous and stunning pieces while promoting her new Amazon original series Modern Love!

Last week, she stunned in a gorgeous cream Oscar de la Renta asymmetrical peplum -type top over a matching skirt while promoting the project in New York City on Thursday.

Earlier in her pregnancy, the Ocean’s 8 star stunned in a hot pink dress with a bump-revealing side cut outs while attending the FIJI Water At Sea Wall / A Life Opening Night On Broadway event on August 08, 2019 in New York City.

And last month, we were crushing the gorgeous Valentino Maxi dress the Devil Wears Prada star wore to the Amazon Prime Video’s Television Critics Association press event in Beverley Hills, California.

The floor-length dress from the design house’s 2019 Resort Collection was decorated with what looked like Venetian artwork on the front and featured yellow pleats and billowy sleeves.

The New York native, who shares a 3-year old son named Jonathan with husband Adam Shulman.

She announced her pregnancy on Instagram with a July mirror selfie.

“It’s not for a movie,” she captioned the black-and-white pic at the time. “#2. ⁣All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”

She previously opened up to  to Entertainment Tonight  about her infertility struggles that week:

“There is a one-sided narrative to this and, of course, it’s wonderful that we celebrate the happy moment when it’s ready to share. I think there is a silence around the moments before that and they are not all happy and, in fact, a lot of them are quite painful. I think that pain is that these women feel like we’re the only ones going through it.”

She added, “I just knew that somewhere my announcement was going to make somebody feel worse about themselves because — and it wouldn’t be their fault that that happened — you just can’t help it when you want something so bad and it feels like it’s happening to everyone else but you. And I just wanted that person to know that they’re included in my story too and that my story didn’t just have happy moments too.”

Fall Hunter Boots To Get NOW!

When it comes to classic and timeless fashion items, Wellington boots by Hunter are up there.

The rubber goulashes are made by the company which originally was established as North British Rubber Company in 1856. Today, the heritage label maintains its authentic brand identity and has earned worldwide recognition and a royal warrant for its outerwear and footwear collection.

The boots now fuse function with fashion and come in an eclectic range of colors and styles. You can get them in wedge boot style, ombre, in bright colors like teal and hot pink, with quilted calf, and with the sock in sole for as low as $40 on sale at some online retailers worldwide.

We love them because they are mom and mom-to-be friendly. The boots are pretty easy to slip on because they have a large calf are and the rubber soles make them slip resistant and pretty safe and secure for the expecting woman with the displaced center of gravity and precious cargo on her front.

We love Hunter! Check out some inspiration sites below!

Click to buy but they sell out pretty fast so good luck!

11 Stylish Pieces to Have in Your Fall Wardrobe

fall fashion collage

It’s officially Fall!

Sweater weather is finally here in my neck of the woods where temperatures have now dipped to 60 to 70 degrees which means it’s time for Fall fashion!

There is a slight chill in the air, the leaves have turned to shades of yellow, red and brown and are falling off of the trees, harvest festivals are packed on weekends and stores and cafes are selling all things pumpkin spice.

Autumn is my favorite season of all because it’s not as hot as the Summer, not bone chilling cold as the Winter and I’m not sneezing from Spring allergies. I love Fall seasonal clothing the best and have showcased fall fashion on my fashion Instagram account, Wahmstyle, more than any other type of styles.

Here  are my fave fall looks from past posts that are timeless and never go out of style.

This time of  year, is the best time to pull these items out of the closet:

Plaid Jackets and Shirts

I generally associate plain flannel with this season. It makes me think of chopping wood, apple picking and weekend hikes through trails.

I incorporate plaid in my wardrobe via shirts in various checkered patterns that I wear overtop a knit or jersey tee like in this post below.

The right shirt is soft to touch, and rugged. Pair them with jeans or yoga pants with low boots and you’ve got a winning look.

Designer Scarves

While scarves can be worn in all seasons, you can really show them off and get max functionality out of them in cooler seasons.

I love to wrap mine around my neck and use them as an extra layer of warmth when it’s too warm for a full jacket.

I invested in a Burberry scarf with its signature checkered print because it is a timeless piece and recognizable as such.

I tend to stick with neutral colors so this pattern serves me well as it can be worn with most of my outfits.

You don’t have to stick with logo scarves, as any quality scarf will do and the quality will stand out even if you are wearing a bunch of cheaper fast fashion pieces with it.

Layered accessories

Arguably, you can wear accessories at any time of the year but in the cooler temps, you have an excuse to go BIG and go with chunky heavier necklaces, statement rings and bracelets.

Off the shoulder sweaters

In the early fall, to avoid overheating, people wear lighter sweaters but a good off-the-shoulder sweater can bring the sexy out.

You can get a normal over-sized sweater and slouch it over one shoulder for a Flash Dance esque look!

Studded Black Cowboy Boots

Fall is the start of boots weather and cowboy boots like Fashion Riding boots are a timeless option.

I like wearing a more urban fashion remixed version with less stitching and more buckles at the angle in a low boot.

Sweatshirts

For the weekend and regular athletic or gym-going types, a sweatshirt is a staple. For those who wear them for style, a shirt with a cute saying or logo in the front is a great fall wear option.

Pantsuits

You can always don a pantsuit but in the fall, to me, you have an excuse to wear one less formally over a screen tee for a semi casual biz meeting or event.

Red Nail Polish

I look forward to wearing darkest colors on my nails in the fall and especially red! In my mind, burgundy, magenta, crimson and candy apple red nail polish should be reserved for autumn.

Sweater Dresses

If you get a sheath sweater dress you can add a belt to accentuate your waist or just wear is straight with boots. There are so many options with this item of clothing.

You do have to be careful in warmer early Fall, to not get a too thick dress.

Dark Denim Jeans

You can literally dress up or down a pair of denims in a dark shade with pearls and a cashmere sweater (up) of a tee of sweatshirt(down). I love the versatility and slimming effect of dark denims, especially slim cut or boyfriend cut ones.

Knit Scarves

Like the designer scarf, the knit scarf adds the option of keeping you warm when it’s not yet coat wearing temps out.

You can get a cashmere pashmina and double it up as a blanket to keep you warm in the office

First Day of Fall: Wear This Trending Shade; Get Compliments

Fall color trend

Fall is salmon harvest season and interestingly, a new alternative Fall color.

Last night, I was out with my sons at the library and noticed one was wearing salmon colored shorts and the other a salmon gingham button down shirt. The color looked great against their cocoa skin.

During this year’s New York Fashion Week, Brandon Maxwell, Tory Burch, Jason Wu and others incorporated that color in their respective collections.

It made me want to go into my closet and scour for some salmon color-clothes to put together for this first official day of fall! But first…I checked out my fave source for inspiration.

I spotted that Fashion Blogger Kirstyn Ann of Glamourzine had done an excellent job incorporating that shade in her fall wardrobe when she paired a deep olive green great button down blouse with an A-Line salmon -colored skirt, accented with a matching Kate Spade army green cross body bagbag and shoes. It’s a little too “matchy matchy” for my taste but still works!

Kirstyn Ann Glamourzine in fall

salmon chunky sweater

I also spotted this chunky sweater which is a great style for the crisper weather and cooler temps and pairs well with anything, especially tucked into jeans or worn loose over leggings.

salmon scarf

Finally, an easy way to incorporate the color in your wardrobe would be via a scarf. Tie is around your neck as a perfect accent to a casual or semi-casual or work outfit and you’re good to go! Watch the compliments come in!

Good luck!

Louis Vuitton: How to Spot a Real From Fake

Louis Vuitton is the most counterfeited designer brand on the market today. There have been many lines of these designer products produced over the years. If you are not very familiar with them, it will be difficult for you to know for sure which one is real and which one is a replica Louis Vuitton.

This is why you need to see how real LV replicas can look like so you know exactly what you are dealing with. Here are some tips that will help you recognize a counterfeit from the real one.

Louis Vuitton Logo

One of the most important things to look at when buying a Louis Vuitton is their logo. This logo was created over a century ago and has the same unique design that most counterfeiters have trouble copying.

If the logo on the Louis Vuitton you are buying is blurred, smudged or tilting, then it is a Louis Vuitton replica. The logo is also never crossed with stitches, locks or folds. Most of them have the LV monogram on the leather canvas, and it is symmetrical from side to side.

This logo can be upside down as in the speedy model but only on the backside without a seam at the bottom. Never go for a LV product that has two pieces of leather stitched together.

The Leather and Handles On An Authentic Louis Vuitton

The leather on vintage LVs is darker than what is found in contemporary bags. Some are made of coated canvas, but the trim is still leather. This trim should be dry to the touch. If it is slippery or oily, it is a fake Louis Vuitton.

The trims are never covered with polythene tissues or soft paper. This is an attempt by counterfeiters to protect the material from eroding and the seams from coming off.

Lining and Stitching

Another area you should carefully inspect is the lining. On Louis Vuitton bags, the linings are never dark brown. They are either Alcantara or grey. They also do not utilize suede linings. Some models have cotton ones.

Each model will have its unique lining. You, therefore, need to do thorough research and check the company’s website to ensure you buy the real ones. Counterfeiters will often overlook the lining part.

Stitching for LV bags is a crucial process from which perfection is demanded. Therefore the stitches are straight and even. There is also a specific amount of stitches used, and this does not change from bag to bag.

Some great examples are the Louis Vuitton Speedy, Alma, and Neverful. These have five stitches across every tab where handles are secured, never more, and never less. There is no back and forth stitching for all models.

Price

This is also something you should factor in when buying LV bags. None of them is cheap, and they do not have discounts or wholesale distributions. Their prices are constant throughout the year because of their strong market value.

Make Sure You Are Buying An Authentic Louis Vuitton

Choosing the real from counterfeit Louis Vuitton is not easy, but it is possible. All you need is to be extremely keen on the smallest details. You do not want to buy a Louis Vuitton replicathat will tear and embarrass you after only a few weeks.

Expecting Teddi Mellencamp and RHOB Castmates Take NYFW

real housewives of Beverly hills cast runway

real housewives of Beverly hills cast runway

Congratulations to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave woh announced last week that she is expecting her third child then took to the runway only 4 days later to walk in her co star Kyle Richards New York Fashion Week for her new fashion label and collaboration, Kyle & Shahida, co-designed by Shahida Clayton.

During the show, cast mates walked along seasoned models including former model Lisa Rinna,  Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, and Denise Richards.

Rinna, Mellencamp Arroyave and Richards herself walked, wearing daring bodysuits under bright floral floral robes. Girardi walked in a colorful tunic which is signature to her style under red silk wide leg pants while Kemsley rocked red pans wore red pants with a black tube top under a black blazer, and accented with Femmes Sans Peur heels.

A few days after the show Mellencamp Arroyave  had to defend herself against haters who slammed her walk during the runway show.

“Now, I am no model — I can barely walk down the street properly — but I walked out there feeling good and excite to support my friend,” the 4-time mom-to-be captioned an Instagram post on Thursday. “That quickly shifted when I was hit with the barrage of memes and insta comments throwing negativity at me and my walk.”

Last weekend I had the opportunity to walk in a fashion show during NYFW. Now, I am no model— I can barely walk down the street properly— but I walked out there feeling good and excited to support my friend. That quickly shifted when I was hit with the barrage of memes and insta comments throwing negativity at me and my walk. I can definitely make fun of myself and am in on most jokes but sometimes it just gets to be too much. So I had a big ole cry and felt truly embarrassed— until I remembered this @brenebrown quote: “If you aren’t in the arena getting your ass kicked, I’m not interested in your feedback.” And you know what, I am so damn proud of myself for having the courage to step out of my comfort zone, especially at 15-weeks pregnant in a flesh-colored bodysuit, and do my very best. We cannot control other’s actions, we can only control our own. So now, I’m just gonna smile brighter and keep on strutting. ?Shoutout to @kylerichards18 for absolutely killing it with @kyleandshahida! Such an amazing accomplishment ? #nyfw #babyonboard #bucketlist

She was referencing the mean comments that flooded her previous post of the media feedback of the Housewives’ presence during the show.

“I can definitely make fun of myself and am in on most jokes but sometimes it just gets to be too much,” Mellencamp’s response continued. “I am so damn proud of myself for having the courage to step out of my comfort zone, especially at 15-weeks pregnant in a flesh-colored bodysuit, and do my very best.”

The outfit she wore showed her growing baby bump which she showcased during her announcement last week:

She wasn’t the only person who is not familiar with modeling in the show. Richards also had her daughters, 19-year old Sophia Umansky and 23-year old Alexia Umansky walk in a striped yellow ruffled crop top and skirt with Femmes Sans Peur heels and a tiered ruffled maxi dress, respectively.

Mellencamp Arroyave and husband EdwinArroyave are parents to  5-ear old Cruz Arroyave , 6-year old Slate Arroyave, and 10-year old Isabella Arroyave, Edwin’s daughter from a previous relationship.

She previously shared that she had multiple miscarriages before conceiving her son via IVF
