Former American Idol champ and award-winning singer Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their daughter together River Rose Blackstock on Thursday, June 12.
She tweeted the news yesterday saying she and hubby are “on cloud 9.”
Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! 🙂 — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) June 14, 2014
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock‘s daughter is due on June 18, according to their Babies R Us registry.
Kelly Clarkson’s baby is reportedly due on June 18.
The ‘Beautiful Disaster’ singer and her music manager husband Brandon Blackstock have set up a registry at Babies R Us for their daughter, which apparently reveals the due date of their first child.
According to RadarOnline.com, Kelly has asked her close friends and family to buy unisex presents for the tiny tot, with cuddly toy animals featuring heavily on the list of 83 items.
The total value of the registry reportedly amounts to $3,000 and covers everything from baby basics like a breast pump to innovative presents like a baby sign language book and a hippo-shaped humidifier.
Kelly – who announced she was expecting a girl in January – clearly had her family members in mind when she chose goodies like bibs printed with the words ‘I Love My Grandma’ and ‘I Love My Aunt’.
The 32-year-old star also appears to be hoping her daughter will follow in her footsteps and be musically inclined, since she included a rainbow xylophone and a Baby Einstein lullaby CD.
A Cookie Monster puppet towel and a red car seat are the only presents to have been purchased so far.
Kelly – who is a stepmother to Brandon’s children Savannah, 12, and Seth, eight – was delighted when she discovered she was pregnant since the couple only had been trying to conceive since their wedding in October.
Melissa Rycroft, preggers with she and hubby Tye Strickland‘s second baby, showed off her growing baby on Instagram, Babble reports.
Currently preggers Drew Barrymore joined our Bellyitch bumpwatch alum Reese Witherspoon and her bestie Cameron Diaz for cooking lessons at the Culinary Institute in Napa Valley, California, per Diaz’s Instagram share.
Evelyn Lozada took to Twitter to deny that she had given birth and squelch rumors.
Even while dealing with extreme morning sickness in her third trimester and sciatica pain, Kendra Wilkinson tells Wonderwall she’s still digging pregnancy.
Mila Kuis is not pregnant with fiance Ashton Kutcher‘s child and doesnt’ plan to be soon, a source to the couple told People magazine debunking widely spread rumors she was.
Kelly Clarkson may have to testify while pregnant in a law suit that American Idolcreator Simon Fuller’s company 19 Recordings filed against Sony Music for allegedly “stealing” millions of dollars in royalties from songs by Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and Clay Aiken, RadarOnlinereports.
Given the limit of quality make up for darker complexioned women, singer phenom Kelly Rowland will soon fill the void by collaborating with her make up artist Sheika Daley to release a line of make up for “chocolate girls” as she described it to Essence magazine.
In a recent interview at a Claritin and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America-sponsored event, the former Destiny’s Child girl band member gave some deets about the upcoming project.
“My makeup artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a makeup line we’re making sure we make, well, we’re starting off with lashes and then we’re going to have it grow for all women,” Rowland told Essence. “But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!”
No word yet on its actual launch date or what stage in production the line is currently.
When not designing make up lines, Rowland and our other Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum and current second-time mom-to-be Kelly Clarkson were lending their voices to First Lady Michelle Obama‘s first single.
The empowerment anthem, titled, “This is For My Girls”, also features Zendaya, Janelle Monae, Chloe & Halle, Jadagrace and Lea Michele, Billboardnotes.
Veteran songwriter Diane Warren penned the song, Rap-Upreports.
It is all part of the Obama administration’s Let Girls Learn initiative and the White House’s #62MillionGirls campaign, which aims to help “more than 62 million girls around the world” complete their education.
Looking to try temporary hair extensions? Experts recommend these picks.
We’ve all experienced it: The brief pang of regret after cutting our hair; mourning for all of the hairstyles intended for long hair that we were “just about to try” and will miss out on until it grows back.
Luckily, there’s an easy solution out there for anyone who feels like their hair just doesn’t have the length or volume they crave (and that growing it out takes too long): extensions.
But with so many options out there, it’s so hard to know which to choose. “As a colorist, I like clip-ins the best,” Stephanie Brown, master colorist at the Eddie Arthur Salon in New York City, previously told TODAY Style. “It’s easier for me to color hair, and also because you can put them in and take them out whenever you want. They are a (commitment-free) way to add length and fullness or body to your hair.”
Stephanie’s most important tip is to pick a set with color and texture that is most similar to your own hair. “It isn’t easy dyeing extensions and it isn’t cheap … I charge the same amount as I do when I color someone’s hair,” Brown said.
When it comes to price, a good set is worth the investment.
“(Cheaper options) can look bulky and even cause harm to your natural hair since the clips or tapes are poorly made,” Brown added. “If you take proper care of your extensions, they will not need to be replaced so quickly. Even if you dye your hair, just bring them with you to the salon and ask your colorist to match them.”
We asked other celebrity hairstylists what their favourite clip-in hair extensions are and they shared which ones they recommend to their own clients.

“I originally bought these because they were an ‘Amazon’s Choice’ item, plus their reviews — although there are not many — were almost all five stars,” said celebrity stylist Gregg Giannillo, who works with clients like Vanessa Williams. “Once I used them, I knew why! They are soft, thick, very good quality and very well made. They curl beautifully, they color beautifully and they come in so many varieties that you can find a perfect match. They are truly the next best thing to custom-made at a fraction of the price.”
“For easy, clip-on hair extensions, DevaLook comes in an assortment of colors, adds some nice volume and is easy to use,” said celebrity hairstylist Felix Fischer, who has worked with Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson and Kate Winslet.
Extension expert and celebrity hair colorist Kacey Welch swears by Bellami clip-ins. “They come in lengths from 18 inches to 24 inches and are perfect for a quick style change, event or to see if extensions are for you,” Welch said. “They have such a wide assortment of colors, they virtually match everyone — and they also have fun colors so you can experiment, too. They instantly add volume and length and are easy enough to do at home or to take to your stylist.”
Over the course of Bellyitch’s 12+ years existence, we’ve featured some of the most creative costumes that celebrities have worn. In my opinion, Beyonce and Jay Z, along with Heidi Klum and Neil Patrick Harris, and his husband David Burtka and family, and Kim Kardashian West have really gone above and beyond each Halloween.
This year, I thought to reshare some of the collages that I’ve posted to accompany past coverage of Halloween in remembrance and homage to a time in history when everything wasn’t so muted as they are these days in this uncertain time during the global coronavirus pandemic.

The pregnancy complication is characterized by severe nausea and dehydration, with mild cases treated with dietary changes and rest, and more severe versions requiring hospitalization and IV-infused nutrition and hydration.
The SlutWalk founder told her Instagram followers in a May 2019 series of short videos that she experienced it with her pregnancy with son Sebastion, who she shares with ex-fiance Wiz Khalifa.
“For people that don’t know what it is, it’s basically extreme nausea, vomiting and dehydration, and [I’m] really, really tired,” Rose told her social media at the time. “I can eat a little bit more now because I’m in my second trimester, but not much, and I pretty much sleep all day.”
She added: “I try to, like, be cute and get my hair done, and then I just slept in it and messed it up. All in all, babies are a blessing. God bless women, man. We are resilient. We get through it. It’s really, really hard being pregnant. I’m not gonna lie.
“To all the women out there who just pop out babies like it’s nothing, God bless you guys because oh, my God, it’s a lot,” the model went on to say. “I want to be out. I want to be cute. I want to show off my belly. I can’t get off this couch. I’m just tired and want to barf all day. It’s just not fun. But it’s totally worth it. Totally, totally worth it. “
Duchess Katesuffered from hyperemesis gravidarum when she was pregnant with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Other celebrity moms, including Amy Schumer, and Kelly Clarkson have opened up about similar experiences.
