Inside Toya Wright’s Baby Shower

Toya Wright celebrated the impending arrival of her second child at a baby shower in an Atlanta private residence this past MLK weekend.

It was a reality TV show reunion as some Our blog faves and bumpwatch alums Monica Brown, Monyetta Shaw and Rasheeda attended. Other stars of Atlanta-based shows Shamea Morton from Bravo TV‘s Real Housewives of Atlanta Quad Webb-Lunceford from that same network’s Married to Medicine.

The event featured personalized candy apples, candy bar and Rice Krispie treats and more. The theme was “Showering Reign”, a take off of the name she has selected for her daughter, though in one recent post, she referred to her baby as “Reignbeaux“, phonetic spin on Rainbow with a very unique spelling.

Wright also used the occasion to introduce the public to her beau and the baby’s dad Atlanta sports manager Robert “Red” Rushing. Up until this point, she had elected to conceal his identity. Secret’s out now!

If the baby’s name will be Reignbeaux, this will be the second celebrity baby Rainbow in recent years because The Girls Next Door alum Holly Madison‘s first child is also named Rainbow. Reign is also a bit popular recently among celebrities. Kourtney Kardashian‘s son is named Reign and that is the middle name of Lil Kim’s daughter Royal Reign.

Wright announced her pregnancy last September with a very creative scripted video featuring her daughter Reginae Carter with ex husband rapper Lil Wayne.

Inside Lady Antebellum Singer Hillary Scott’s Baby Shower

Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott celebrated the impending arrival of her twins recently at an intimate shower with friends the Husk restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Today was the most precious and perfect celebration for our little girls,” the country singer captioned a photo slideshow of the festivities. “One of my favorite parts about today was that a table full of amazing women(a few not pictured ?, and a few unable to attend who we missed tremendously!!) had great fellowship, laughs, and lifted each other up…all while celebrating these two babies who I pray grow up to first be who God has created them to be, but also a melting pot of all of the hearts in this room who love them so much already. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to the hostesses @darlintennessee @jocd_like_ocd @goinbackto & @lindsay.doyle ??? Love y’all so much and thanks to @husknashville for making our bellies REALLY happy!! ❤️”

This is Scott and husband Chris Tyrrell’s third and fourth children after suffering a devastating miscarriage earlier which inspired a hit song, “Thy Will” about the ordeal.

The couple announced the news this August in a tender video with their daughter, who they say had been hoping and praying along with mom and dad for another baby.

“You know how you’ve been praying a lot about having a baby and about God giving our family another baby?” Tyrrell says to Eisele in the video. “Well … God has answered that prayer, and Mommy is pregnant with a baby in her belly”.

Inside Jessica Alba’s High Tea Baby Shower (PHOTOS)

Jessica Alba celebrated the impending birth of her third child with producer/director husband Cash Warren on Saturday, December 9, 2017. The actress and business woman shared some photos of the event on her Instagram account and some vids on Snapchat.

“Had the most beautiful baby shower today,” she captioned a “boomerang” photo of herself with balloons wearing a sleeveless black dress, adding her gratitude to friends who organized the showere.” I felt so loved and I ❤️u all to pieces. ?”

The afternoon tea event was celeb studded and held at high tea at the Ladurée hotel in Beverly Hills, California, and thrown together last minute by her mom in law and friend, Baby2Baby founder Kelly Sawyer Patricof.

Attendees include family and friends and celebrity designer and stylist Rachel Zoe and supermodel Molly Sims who munched on tea sandwiches, chef served delicacies and petite desserts at the posh venue.

I Get Why Kim Kardashian-West Didn’t Invite Her Surrogate to Her Baby Shower

Here I am defending Kim Kardashian-West critics again. It has literally become a pastime for me

This time, the KKW Beauty purveyor is being shamed for not inviting her surrogate to her lavish Baby Celebration last week.

During an appearance on the TV talk show The Real, the reality TV star explained her decision to Loni Love.

“I introduced her to my family earlier that day, and I just thought … I don’t know, it was a weird decision to have to make,” Kardashian admitted. “Of course I would have wanted her to be there, and be a part of it, but I hadn’t really gone that far in explaining [the surrogacy] to my kids yet. So I have to figure that out first before they really see, and then if we’re celebrating, you know, her … I just wanted to celebrate the baby,” she continued. “I think I have to explain it to my kids first, and figure out how I’m going to explain it to them.” So, that’s that: it’s all about the kids.”

I get it.

A lot of people in the general public are quite clueless on pregnancy. Surrogacy is very complicated. It is even banned in several countries and some states have very strict rules.

Besides that, similar to adoption, there is a lot of emotional turmoil and angst associated with it. While the surrogate and the parents can become close and have a bond, there is always that fear that the surrogate could develop too much of a bond to the baby she is carrying and resent the parents.

That is what happens in adoption and why birth moms often are not given a chance to hold right after delivery the baby they, pre-birth, have decided to give up for adoption.

When you add young children in the mix, including those who have memories of a previous pregnancy and seeing mommy with a big tummy like her daughter North did with son Saint, I get it.

Kylie Jenner reportedly threw her own baby shower this weekend, one day after her half-sister Kim Kardashian West.

The 20-year-old reality star is rumoured to be expecting her first child with her boyfriend Travis Scott, and sources have now claimed she has thrown a secret baby shower at her Hidden Hills home, one day after Kim – who is expecting her third child with Kanye West via a surrogate mother – held her own bash on Saturday.

Celebrity Era Baby Shower Theme Trend: ‘Southern Charm’s Cameron Eubanks 60s Baby Shower

Fellow cast members of Bravo TV reality show Southern Charm threw co-star Cameran Eubanks a 1960s-themed baby shower earlier this month. It is reminiscent to me of Serena Williams 1950s baby shower. Trend alert, maybe?

Everyone came dressed like the socialites famed photographer Slim Aarons used to snap on the height of his career.

Eubanks shared a photo of the crew along with a very graphic baby shower cake ordered by Whitney Sudler-Smith who planned the event with Patricia Altschul.

“I wanted a Slim Aarons elegant return to the 60’s for @camwimberly1 baby shower…. I had nothing to do with ordering this cake ….NOTHING!!” Altschul wrote on Instagram along with a pic of the group including Shep Rose decked out in the period clothing at the event some compliments of resort wear designer Lilly Pulitzer.

Inside Eniko Parrish and Kevin Hart’s Jungle-Themed Malibu Baby Shower (PHOTOS)

As predicted reported, Newlyweds Eniko Parrish Hart and her actor-comedian husband Kevin Hart held an outdoor, jungle-themed baby shower in Malibu, California over the weekend.

The event took place on Sunday, October 1 at the Calamigos Beach Club on the beach.

The couple used the opportunity to reveal their future son’s name : Kenzo.

Parrish shared videos of the event on her Instagram account, and via IG Video with their own personalized event filter.

She was glowing and stunning in a flowing leopard print dress with geometric peasant sleeves and her hair in loose ringlets.

We cannot confirm the reported $117,855 price tag for the event which included an “Experience Bar” allowing guests to sample exotic foods and dress up like tribal warriors…

…But we did see a snap of the game “The Pride Is Right ” complete with a host where guests could win prizes as music from the Lion King musical played in the background.

And we also noticed a photo booth was available and peeped a couple of cute Labs with the clip-on manes dressed up as Lions. Cute!

Also, spotted a nice three tiered cake in the color scheme and nicely wrapped themed cookies favors on a cute candy table with baby Kenzo’s named spelled out.

Kimora Lee Simmons’ son with ex Djimon Honsou is also named Kenzo, which is Japanese for strong and healthy.

Another one of our Bellyitch Alums, Eudoxie Agnan Bridges and her rapper husband Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, their couples BFF, were there.

Kevin shared pics too including a family photo also featuring his two children from his marriage to Torrei Hart, 12-year old daughter Heaven, and 9-year old son Hendrix.

And of some of his Day1 boys.

There was a group Snap of Eniko’s Jamaican cousins, which she captioned as such.

Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish are Throwing a $100+K Baby Shower

Kevin Hart and his pregnant wife, Eniko Parrish, are not letting a scandal stop the plans of hosting an ultra extravagant baby shower.

TMZ snoops report that the couple is moving forward with plans to throw a “Lion King” themed baby shower on October 1 at at the Calamigos Beach Club in Malibu, California.

According to the gossip site, the venue will be decorated in leopard print with pics of safari animals — and a Hart family photo “with a silhouette of pregnant Eniko leading the way.”

It’s being reported that the event will feature an “Experience Bar” where guests will be able to sample exotic foods and dress up like tribal warriors. There will also be a game show similar to The Price Is Right where guests can win prizes. All set to Lion King music, of course.

The price tag of the event is $117,855, including the $1,500 cost of a chimpanzee in a diaper!

Inside Serena Williams’ 50s-Themed Baby Shower (PHOTOS)

Serena Williams celebrated the impending arrival of her first child at a celeb-studded 1950s themes baby shower at Nick’s 50’s Diner in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums Ciara and Kelly Rowland; and our fashion style faves Eva Longoria and La La Anthony, and her fellow Tennis star sister Venus Williams were among the guests that came outfitted in the theme and took turns taking pics in front of a cherry red truck parked in the front of the restaurant.

Serena Williams had a star-studded baby shower and the tennis champ opted to give her pals a blast from the past with her 1950s-themed celebration today at Nick’s 50’s Diner in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Williams and her fiance Alex Ohanian are expecting their first child this Summer.

Several of the party goers took to social media to post images and video from the fun-filled party and most hashtagged the event: “#ShakeRattleandRoll2017.” Check out some of the pics:

Inside Whitney Port’s Baby Shower

MTV’s The Hills and The City alum Whitney Port and her husband Tim Rosenmann had a Shower in the City to celebrate their impending arrival.

Port’s sister and mom planned a coed shower that took place one evening mid June at the rooftop pool lounge Above Sixty at the Sixty Beverly Hills.

Her sis decked out the venue in a whimsical collection of unconventional flowers for the event.

“It was a very bohemian jungle desert kind of look — just what I love!” Port commented in a post on her blog about the celebration.

“We snacked on my new favorite snack, for Pure Growth Organic White Cheddar Popcorn, had a giant BBQ feast, followed by the yummiest ice cream sandwiches from Coolhaus for dessert.
