Shahs of Sunset Alum Lilly Ghalichi Mir Births First Child, Then Drops ‘Milf’ brand eyelashes

Former Shahs of Sunset reality TV star Lilly Ghalichi Mir and her husband Dara Mir welcomed their first child together over the weekend.

Alara Mir ❤️ Born 9/30/18,” the eyelash entrepreneur captioned a photo of herself cradling her baby girl with her hubby hugging them both. “Our hearts are so full. Thank you for choosing us to be your parents. ”

The ex-attorney also used the opportunity to plug one sixth of her latest eyelash offerings, her “The Living Your Best Life” collection.

“Wearing the ‘MILF’ Lash during delivery by @LillyLashes,” she finished off the caption. Other lashes in the collection are named “Trophy Wife“, “It’s Lit“, “Okurrr” (a signature term used and made popular by fellow Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum rapper Cardi B), “nstafamous” and “Yasss Queen”. All of them are pop culture terms and certainly fitting! I love the packaging and branding!

That’s how you do it.

Ghalichi and Mir got in August 2016 after dating for several months before having a lavish wedding last May 2017 in Beverly HIlls.

Per E!: “They met in an odd way—they were neighbors and didn’t even know it! She sought approval from her condo’s homeowners’ association to obtain an additional parking spot for her Ferrari and he was on the board. After exchanging emails, they met in their building’s lobby. The meeting was recorded on the complex’s security footage.”

Interesting! Congrats!

Carrie Underwood Joins Roster of Celeb Baby Bumps Featured in Their Music Videos

Carrie Underwood has joined the small legions of celebrity singers who released music videos while visibly pregnant.

In the video for her new song, “Love Wins“, underbelly shots of the country music phenom reveals her baby bump in an empire waist rose gown. In the emotional son, Underwood addresses a lot of hot-button political topics such as gun violence, politics, our very heavily divided world while offering the solution to it all: Love!

“Love is power, love is a smile[,]

Love reaches out, love is the remedy[,]

Love is the answer, love’s an open door[,]

Love is the only thing worth fighting for[.]”

Underwood,  announced last month she was expecting her second child with husband Mike Fisher.

Earlier this year, Cardi B dropped several videos off of her debut album “Invasion of Privacy” and her baby bump too was very much present.

A long time ago, women were hidden away when pregnant and certainly, they weren’t flaunted in the media or music videos. In modern times, beautiful pregnant women are featured prominently as with a very 9-month pregnant Natalie Portman, days before giving birth in the music video for James Blake’s  song “My Willing Heart,” released on Monday.

But she isn’t the first one. Beyonce, P!nk, Deborah Cox, and Whitney Houston have also appeared very pregnant in music videos for their songs

In 2011, Beyonce was pregnant with her daughter Blue Ivy in her Countdown Video. That year, P!nk was also visibly pregnant with her daughter Willow in her girls empowerment song “F*&>Perfect”.

Before then, Canadian -born artist Deborah Cox showed off her 3rd trimester belly in the later frames of her “Beautiful U R” video” which is also about female empowerment and self esteem.  Finally, Whitney Houston, was also uplifting women in her remake of Chaka Khan‘s “I’m Every Woman” and was pregnant with her daughter Bobbi Kristina. (RIP to both of them).

Social Media Helps Celebs Keep It Real About Pregnancy and Early Motherhood

The Independent explores the shift in celebrity pregnancy coverage being more authentic and real about the trials of pregnancy, labor, delivery and early motherhood and credits social media for it

EXCERPT:

Years ago, a pregnant starlet might drop out of the spotlight for a while – only to reemerge in a magazine looking well-rested and snuggling with an angelic infant.

See various People magazine covers: Jennifer Lopez in 2008, resplendent in a floor-length gown with an infant nestled in each arm, above the headline “TWIN BLISS!”; Angelina Jolie in 2006, gazing adoringly at Brad Pitt, as baby Shiloh snoozes away; Julia Roberts, looking dewy and fresh-faced in 2005 as she cradles her twins.

Now fans are starting to see a different side of postpartum celebrities: Model Chrissy Teigen shares an Instagram story that features her stretch marks and confesses that she’s “super insecure” about her body; actress Olivia Wilde posts an Instagram photo of her messy bun with the caption, “I call this hairstyle, ‘keep the kid alive’ “; tennis legend Serena Williams tweets about balancing work and her daughter: “She took her first steps . . . I was training and missed it. I cried.”

The common denominator in all those examples, naturally, is social media. The advent of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat made stars realize that they could connect with the public on a deeper level about personal subjects – and that fans appreciated honesty about the less-than-glamorous aspects of their #blessed lives.

“Social media has been such a game changer. . . . Celebrities are speaking directly to the fan base. Once they started doing that, things just got a lot more real,” said Kate Coyne, executive editor of People magazine. “One evolution of that concept has been celebrities sharing the realities of pregnancy, infertility, child-rearing, infancy, toddlerhood. It goes hand in hand with what social media is all about.”

Lately, celebrities have also been spilling details about serious medical issues surrounding childbirth. In January, Williams told Vogue that she had a potentially fatal complication during labor, including blood clots in her lungs.

2018 MTV VMAs: Cardi B’s Baby Kultura Fake Out & Red Carpet Trends

Last night was the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York, New York City on August 20.

Quite a few of our Bellyitch  Bumpwatch alums showed up and/or showed out with draw-dropping performances, on-stage antics, on the red carpet risks and MoonMan winning!

Jennifer Lopez gave an electrifying performance of a medley of her hits over the years before accepting the Video Vanguard Award, the first person of Latino heritage to win the coveted prize.

Cardi B surprised the audience by opening the show cradling what looked like a baby on stage

Many thought they would get the first glimpse of her infant girl Kultura with husband rapper Offset, but she later revealed it was a trophy.

Womp womp womp!!

Later in the evening, the “I Like It” rapper won three of several awards she was nominated for, Song of the Summer for “I Like It featuring Bad Bunny & J Balvin; Best new artist and Best Collaboration for “Dinero” Jennifer Lopez’s song with DJ Khaled Artist of the year.

She was nominated for Best hip hop, Artist of the Year, Best Latin album, also for Dinero and Song of the Year for “Finesse” with Bruno Mars

Beyoncé’s song “APES**T” with her husband Jay Z as part of their duo The Carters won a few technical awards for Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction though that song was also nominated for Best collaboration, Best Direction, Best Choreography,  Best Hop Hop, Best Editing And Video of the Year.

On the red carpet, JLo and Cardi showed out along with other alums Kylie Jenner and Blake Lively, coming through with the pant suit again.

MTV Reality show and other Bellyitch alums Heidi Montag, Nicky Hilton, Nicole “Snooki” Palozzi and Audrina Partridge graces the red carpet also.

One fashion trend that stood out to me was the inptricate sheet organza I saw on singing sisters and Beyonce protege Chloe X Haile, comedic actress Tiffany Hadish and British singing phenom  Rita Ora.

And finally, winning the sex kitten awards: a chaps and chisel abs donning Teyana Taylor, Blac Chyna and red cat woman Amber Rose.

New Mom Cardi B Drops Out of Bruno Mars 24K Tour

We always pause when celebrity new moms like Amal Clooney, Ivanka Trump. former Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer when they announce plans to get back to work weeks after delivering, not fully aware of how much of a challenge that could be.

Cardi B is the latest new mama to fall victim to this phenomenon.

She had previously stated that despite being set to give birth in July, she still planned to remain on Bruno Mars‘ “24K Magic” and to take her newborn with her.

As we could expect, the Bodak Yellow performer announced that she will no longer be joining  Bruno’s tour.

“As of today I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this Fall,” the rapper wrote in a statement posted on Instagram Thursday night. “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”

The Invasion of Privacy album creator only delivered her baby girl Kulture three weeks ago and explained to her fans and followers  that she’s not ready to hit the road. Per her pediatrician’s advice, neither is her daughter.

“Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road,” she wrote.

The “I Like It” songstress has not hired a nanny and  is not interested in being apart from her baby during her most formative first months.

“I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby!” she finished off her post. “Thank you Bruno for being so supportive and understanding.”

Cardi shares her daughter with husband Offset, who is a member of the trio rap group, The Migos rapper, along with Quavo and Takeoff. He’ll be making the bread and perhaps missing baby’s first moments as he is sticking with plans to join Drake this summer on his North American tour, “Aubrey and the Three Amigos,” which was rescheduled to address production issues.

Peep Cardi B and Offset’s Daughter’s $4500 Crib

For a few years early in this blog’s life, I published an annual list of the most expensive strollers, cribs, baby and children’s clothes and maternity wear which I eventually compiled in a book called Bellyitch 100 (you can get it HERE!).

The most expensive crib on that list was made by Art for Kids and cost $4,400.

Cardi B‘s custom made crib for her and husband Offset‘s daughter Kulture surpasses that one. The rapper took to Instagram to show off the crib which according to Vogue’s research cost $4,500, retail.

“I didn’t want to set the crib up until we moved but Offset set it up while I was in the hospital,” she said. “It’s just so gorgeous.”

The crib’s designers, Kapesh Designs, said on Instagram that this exact one was custom made, but the fact Vogue could find a similar product in stock on their website proves that claim may not be entirely accurate.however, they had a similar product still in stock.

This little Princess’ crib adds to the crib’s of kids from other famous celebrities like Kim Kardashian West‘s  $4,500 Vetro Lucite crib for her brood (Beyoncé and Jay Z are also allegedly fans of the minimalist baby furniture), while Serena Williams posted a picture of her daughter’s rose gold crib by Incy Interiors to her Instagram story.

Congrats to rappers Cardi B and Offset on the birth of their first child together, a daughter.

The chart-topper released the news on her Instagram with a floral-motif semi nude photo of herself.

Baby caps off a whirlwind year that included several #1 top hits, a successful highly anticipated album release, a first time ever co-host gig with Jimmy Fallon, a Coachella headliner performance,  a tour and her first Saturday Night Live (SNL) performance where she announced the much rumored before pregnancy news by having the camera reveal her large bump in a white form fitting dress.

She recently lamented about naysayers who think a baby is a career-killer.

“You know what—I’m a grown woman. I’m 25 years old…I’m a schmillionaire and I’m prepared for this,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper  (whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar)  Power 101’ Breakfast Club radio show.“It just really bothers me and it disgusts me because I see a lot of women online [commenting], ‘I feel sorry for you. Your career is over.’ Why can’t I have both?” she added. “Why do I gotta choose a career or a baby? Why can’t I have both. I want both.”

Yes you can!

Inside Cardi B’s and Offset’s ‘Bronx Fairytale’ Baby Shower

Fresh off confirmation that they secretly wed, rappers Cardi B and her new husband Offset, celebrated the upcoming birth of their first child together at a lavish “Bronx Fairytale” themed wedding in Atlanta, Georgia this week.

The event, named for the New York city burrough where Cardi is from, featured a 16-foot topiary floral wall, room entrance ways that resembled a 6-car subway train, and several rooms draped in 26,000 pink and white flowers, created by C. Waymen Florals & Events.  One area of one room featured a mock “Bardi Baby Bodega” stocked with personalized diapers, bottles, and more.

Guests chilled out in an elegant lounge area and noshed on custom-made piraguas, sliced fruit, and soul food, while sipping on pink coquito cocktails and Hennessy shots, as Vogue style writer put it, a nod to Cardi B’s sister, Hennessy Carolina.

I loved best the “Bardi Baby Book Library,” stocked with Latina and African-American children’s books like “Buenas Noches”, “Luna”, and “Viva, Frida”.

The center piece of the event was a five-tier cake, with each layer a different flavor fave of Cardi’s: Dominican pineapple, strawberry, red velvet, chocolate ganache, and honey bun.

Entertainment included Orchestra Noir, a hip hop orchestra group, and the Ballethnic dance company.

Guests took home as party favors custom purple baby blanket, a nod to the epic self portrait shawl Cardi once wore to the airport.

A glowing Cardi went with light pink bodycon dress with bold  brushed silver statement necklace and earrings while Offset opted for a denim jeans and a jacket with a black turtleneck, a large cross necklace and a studded silver belt.

Guests included fellow rappers and our Bellyitch bumpwatch alums Rasheeda and singer Monica, and at one point in one video shared on Instagram,  Hennessy can be seen dancing with the expectant mom and rubbing her protruding belly.

It was very much the electrifying shower the “Invasion of Privacy” recording artist told Rolling Stone in her cover story that she wanted the event to be.

“I want a lit baby shower. My baby shower’s not starting at no 5:00. My sh*t is going to start at 9 p.m. because that’s how I celebrate, that’s how Caribbean people celebrate,” Cardi said. “I don’t like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, eating, cooking hors d’oeuvres. Nah. Sh*t, I might even drink some red wine. Red wine’s healthy, right?”

Report: Cardi B is Going to Give Birth Within the Next Month

Cardi B is just weeks away from giving birth to her first child, a baby girl, according to her request to move a deposition of her from July 27.

According to TMZ, the 25-year-old said in legal documents that she is “in her final month of pregnancy and about to give birth,” and needs to push back the deposition date as a result.

Litigant Kevin Brophy is suing the artist and her managers for $5 million, claiming he never agreed to be featured on  Cardi’s album cover.

The cover features a man with very distinct back tattoos performing oral sex. Brophy claims one of the man’s tattoos, a tiger battling a snake, is identical to one that he has had for 10 years.

Brophy says the image is of him and that he was only made aware of it when a friend texted him.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Brophy said he has never met or spoken to Cardi.

The deposition was scheduled so Cardi could be questioned about a lawsuit that was filed against her by a main claiming she copied his back tattoo and used it for the album cover of her 2016 mixtape Gangsta B— Music Vol. I.
