Happy Mother’s Day to all the new, sleep deprived moms. To all the newish moms who are finally getting their bearings and adjusting to a new normal. To all the moms of multiples. To all the working moms. To all the single moms. To all the moms of rainbow babies. To the moms who have lost children. To those with difficult relationships with theIr moms. To mother figures in the absence of children. To all the women who are moms in their hearts but their bodies aren’t cooperating. To anyone who woke-up this morning with a pang of sadness because they no longer have their mom here. And let’s not forget the moms who are totally content with fur babies, or nothing to take care of at all. Wherever you are in this relationship, celebrate that today.?

Benji Madden, Cameron Diaz’s husband, dedicated a post to her

Best Wishes for All the Mother’s, we’re all lucky to have you ?It’s special day for us this year, Forever grateful to my wife for making me a Father, and taking such good care of us everyday. Best Mom and Wife and Friend. Wether waking up extra early to take care of everyone (3 humans and a dozen animals) or doing all the research and reading to make sure we try our best to be good parents for our daughter, she’s a force of nature and I’m very grateful. 6 years together just get more meaningful and true love each day. What a blessing. For me, I think wise to remind ourselves everyday, when we have a rare special person like this in our life, not to be the foolish person who takes it for granted. Fact is, No matter what happens at work, or what the world thinks/says, Cherish the Mothers and you can’t lose. Everything else you’ll be able to figure out- Happy home is worth more than Gold? Thank G-D for Moms❤️❤️❤️Happy Mother’s Day ❤️?❤️?❤️??????❤️❤️❤️??????

Dear Jodie, On this most special of mothers days I want to thank you for the being the light that you are. For the the passion with which you threw yourself into nurturing and protecting our child when she was in your womb. For the dedication and will you showed bringing her into the world. I have never witnessed a more powerful being than you through those moments. Thank you for the depth of grace you have found since our daughter has arrived. The commitment that you make look so effortless but I know is anything but. Thank you for making me a father. For trusting me enough to embark on this journey together. I am humbled more and more every day by that. I love you. I love seeing you enter the pantheon of mothers. And I look forward to walking this path by your side as we nurture this little engine of joy you have blessed the world with.

Shay Mitchell: Hiding Pregnancy Caused Pre-Partum Depression

“Pretty Little Liars” star Shay Mitchell did not reveal her pregnancy publicly for nearly six months, a period of isolation that she said left her in a “severe depression.”

“I think it’s really interesting that pre-partum depression or feelings of isolation in pregnancy are not more vastly discussed,” Mitchell, 32, said in a newspaper  interview with the maternity lifestyle brand Hatch. “Feeling that I was alone in my depression compounded my state of mind, but [I] have found since sharing the news publicly that many women feel as I did.”

“Pregnancy can be a hard time, especially if you’re having to hide it,” she said. “After I came out publicly, I felt an enormous wave of relief and was finally able to start enjoying the pregnancy.

Inside Shay Mitchell’s “Magic Mike” Baby Shower

Pretty Little Liars star unveiled the 4th episode on her pregnancy journey YouTube series, Almost Ready, featuring a very unconventional strip club baby shower.

“I know, I know, I said I didn’t want a baby shower, but I changed my mind,” the Dollface actress opened up the video which showcases shower decorations but opens with her and girlfriends walking the Hollywood strip on their way to see Magic Men Live!

During the fun, Babbel texted his boo a few times, “Hey babe. How’s it going,” he asked, following up with, “Do you guys want snacks?”

Too funny!

On ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Shay Mitchell’s No Maternity Leave Proclamation

Shay Mitchell

Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell is in the homestretch and has no plans of slowing down before or after her first child is born.

She and partner Matte Babel have agreed on a name for their daughter who they expect to arrive in October and are working through a disagreement on whether to go with an epidural or not, but one thing she is sure of, she has no plans of having a maternity leave.

“My entire team knows that there’s no maternity leave for me,” Mitchell revealed while attending the 2019 PaleyFest “upfronts” for HULU streaming channel in Beverly Hills, California promoting her new series Dollface on Tuesday. “I do a lot of my work on my phone and I have another company that I run. I love what I do, so for me, it doesn’t feel like work.”

To that announcement, I say, “yeah right!”

As the self-pronounced institutional memory of celebrity pregnancy, I have reported when other celebrities like Cardi B, Amal Clooney, Ivanka Trump, and former Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer all made bold pronouncements about taking short leaves before changing their minds after baby arrives.

After Amal Clooney said she planned to take just a month and a half off, insiders reported she was having “mixed emotions” about returning to work, but “will return back slowly.”

Besides Clooney, every single one of them realized in short order that a baby needs time to connect, be nurtured by  mom and to get the benefit of security, nutrients and antibodies if mom is breastfeeding and they needed time to focus on baby while not have to juggle space in their mind and life to balance a myriad of other ventures, businesses and work activities at the same time.

My position is that a lot of women across the globe must work and cannot afford to take time out to be with their baby so if you are in a position, financially and have the support and ability to get help, please do! Baby and mama come before career.

She doesn’t have to take my word for it.

FOX Business Network anchor Trish Regan took just six weeks of maternity leave after giving birth to twin girls Elizabeth and Alexandra, now 8. Then a few years later, she took just three weeks off of work after her second pregnancy with son Jamie, now 5.

“It’s a mistake that I really want to make sure other women don’t make.” the mother of three lamented over her decisions prompted by a fear that she would lose her slot in primetime lineup. “Make sure you take every bit of time because the reality is the job will always be here but that time with your child, you will never get back.”

She added. “That’s important time for you as a mother. One of the things that is so important as a working parent is to remember: What are our priorities?”

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Shay Mitchell Expecting After Miscarriage

Months after opening up about having a miscarriage, Pretty Little Liars star, Shay Mitchell shared that she and her boyfriend Matte are expecting their first child.

A couple days ago, the 32-year-old actress shared a photo of her growing belly on Instagram writing, “Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?”

She also released the news in an emotional YouTube video titled “Guess Who’s Preggers.”

“When you’re in the public eye there are some things you want to just keep a secret until you feel ready,” Shay said of her decision to keep her pregnancy hush hush. “This for me has been the hardest. This is gonna be really fun and awesome when I’m not trying to hide it anymore.”

In the video, Mitchell talks about all the steps her glam team took to hide the pregnancy.

Now the news is out, she is going to be sharing the journey.

Congrats!
