Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldridge totally tricked her fans and followers on Instagram with her reveal-less “gender” reveal photos!
In a trio of photos, the model posted on her social media, she, her husband, Kings of Leon bandmember Caleb Followill and their 6-year old daughter Dixie Peal appear to be prepared to pop two ginormous balloons to reveal the sex of the impending arrival.
Well, they do pop the balloons and colored confetti pour out and everyone look pleasantly surprised only…the photos are in Black and White so we still don’t know. Womp Womp Womp!!! (laugh)
“Any Guesses? ????,” Aldridge, 32, teased in the caption. My guess by her total look of surprise is a baby boy!
Full time bloggers get no weekends or vacations off. We work 365 days of the year and around the clock. We have to be comfortable but, if we can, try to stay fashionable and current when out and about, attending events, or just chilling at a cafe behind a laptop cranking out our next post.
I spotted a Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum model Lily Aldridge in an outfit that captured the perfect weekend wear for a blogger around this time of the year. A comfy and seasonal top in a bright or neutral color, a pair of jeans, ballet blats, shades with a nice spacious bag. Hair in a bun and away from the face, not too fussy. It was fab and functional.
Third-time mom-to-be’s Jenna Bush Hager wore a crimson cape dress to the CFDA Fashion Awards that concealed her bump. She said the outfit got mixed reviews but her two daughters loved it.
Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Jennifer Lopez showed off her rock hard six pack in an orange custom Ralph Lauren crop top layered with 43,200 crystals and matching floor length skirt on the red carpet and on stage when she received her fashion icon award.
CFDA Chairwoman, Diane von Furstenberg said JLo was a no brainer when it came to picking her for the award.
“Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power,” the designer said. “Both designers and fans look forward to her fashion statements.”
Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA, added, “Jennifer Lopez’s style is bold, uninhibited, and always memorable. Designers, including many of our CFDA Members, love to dress her for both stage and private moments.”
Lopez joins past recipient that include: Rihanna, Beyoncé, Naomi Campbell, Pharrell Williams, and Johnny Depp.
Also, Lily Aldridge, another bumpwatch alum looked sizzling hot in a classic and elegant crimson red gown by Brandon Maxwell.
This year’s annual gala to celebrate the opening of a new exhibit at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of the Arts, was more over the top than ever before.
Perhaps because the theme was “Camp”, maybe, celebrities brought extra extravagance and bold and gregarious fashion and antics.
The official theme of the Met’s 2019 was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” and celebrates the newest exhibit which is inspired by Susan Sontag‘s 1964 essay that defines camp as “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.”
I think Lady Gaga might have won with her theatrics that included he unraveling and revealing of not one but four looks by designer, with the assistance of a small army of flamboyant but meticulous handlers.
Cardi B’s presentation and actor Billy Porter’s were quite spectacular and so much so, I almost forgot previous mega head turners Rihanna, Beyoncé, Madonna and third-time mom-to-be Blake Lively were conspicuously missing.
My fave looks were by women who are not yet moms (per this is a celebrity pregnancy blog so they focus is on moms)
First was singer and Endgame actress Hailee Steinfield
My second fave was Lupita Nyong’o who is stunning!
And of course, we saw lots of the celebrity moms we have featured on Bellyitch who each brought their total A game to the party and did it up right!
I am proud of myself for having the institution memory to have been able to recognize all of these beautiful moms without reading the caption to see who they are. Woot.
In all the fuss and bustle of the Holiday season, I have been neglecting my expecting celeb mama coverage!
Thank goodness, we can still get features from other sites to update us and here is a quick roundup:

So…it appears the Balloon Gender Reveal is THE go-to way for celebs to share the sex of their soon-to-be born babies. (See Kate Hudson, Jessica Simpson, Lily Aldridge). Add former Destiny’s Child bandmember, singer and actress Letoya Luckett to the mix.
The Greenleafactress unveiled the sex of her soon-to-be born first child in a series of photos on Instagram after revealing her gorgeous and unique maternity photos.
In one image, she the songstress is holding a string attached to a bunch of PINK balloons!
“She’s already become the light of my life. Mommy & Daddy can’t wait to meet you baby girl! ???#IssaGurl.”
“Dear God, I pray for my daughter to see the beauty in this world and the goodness in people. Show her how to raise her head in confidence, yet lower it with humility before You. Help her to be a life long learner. May she always gain knowledge, grow in understanding, and find wisdom. Please God, help her to close her eyes in restful slumber and open them in appreciation of Your glorious morning light. Amen ??? ” then adding photo, hair, and styling credits.
New York Fashion Week did not pass without some expecting ladies making headlines. A very 5-months preggers model Lily Aldridge walked the runway to the Brandon Maxwell show at the Classic Car Club wearing a backless crimson dress from his collection with her hair sleeked back in a parted pony.
Fenty x Puma,Marc Jacobs and Yeezy Season 2 model Slick Woods is expecting her first son with fellow model Adonis Bosso looked supreme fashionable chic while posing on red carpets to various shows she attended.

This is a trend that takes off from this Summer’s breastfeeding model who nursed her 5-month old baby during Sports Illustrated Swimwear week in Miami, Florida.
Last year at NYFW, designer Eckhaus Latta made waves when he sent model and artist Maia Ruth Lee down the catwalk wearing a button-up dress that opened around her baby-carrying belly
“So proud to walk the Brandon Maxwell runway 5 months pregnant! I’ve walked few runways in my life and this is a moment that I’ll look back on forever with great emotion. Thank you Brandon for letting me shine and being such a true gentleman, Love you forever,” Aldridge wrote in the caption to her photo she shared on Instagram.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America—in partnership with Swarovski for the 17th year—(CFDA) held its annual awards last night at the Brooklyn Museum which was hosted for the first time in 10-years by a woman, Insecure star, producer and writer Issa Rae.
During the red carpet of the event, we noticed several of the celeb moms (and one mom-to-be) we have featured on the blog looking tres fashionable.
In collage above: Top: Irina Shayk, Jourdann Dunn, Lily Aldridge, Busy Phillips, 2nd-time mom-to-be Clair Danes; Bottom: Rachel Zoe, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian-West, Alessandra Ambrosio and Ciara looked ravishing!
