Surprise again!

Yet again, former professional tennis player Anna Kournikova and her long time partner singer Enrique Iglesias added to their family without letting the public know they were expecting at all.

After welcoming a set a twins, Lucy and Nicholas without any advanced notice to the masses back in January 2018, the young couple said hello to their brand new baby daughter on January 30, 2020.

Iglesias took to Twitter to announce the news. “My Sunshine 01.30.2020” he captioned the photo of himself in a surgical mask, scrubs and protective hair covering, signaling the newborn arrived via C-Section.

She took to Instagram to share a photo of herself right after the delivery, with the same simple caption as dad.  The super private couple are among a long list of celebs who have kept their entire or most of their respective pregnancies or birth out of the public eye such as Kylie Jenner, Eva Mendes, Blake Lively, Jennifer Hudson, Helen Laschichan, and others.

Congrats to the couple that have been a pair since 2001!

Kylie Jenner joins Long List of Celebs Who Don’t Show Their Babies Faces Online; Here’s Why

I saw a few reports about how makeup mogul and reality TV star Kylie Jenner has selected to stop showing her daughter Stormi’s face on social media after a few mean trolls left nasty comments about the infant.

As Celebrity Baby Scoop reported, “fans noticed that Stormi’s face was hidden and one follower, in particular, noted that she had ‘cut her baby out’, Jenner replied, ‘Yeah I cut my baby out. I’m not sharing photos of my girl right now.'”

Reportedly, she was excited to share her baby with the world but has had to retreat amidst the mean trolls, and her beau and Stormi’s dad Travis Scott is doing the same, only showing her tiny Nikes in a recent Snap Story.

I cannot say I blame her. One of this blog’s most viewed post is about Aoki Lee, the brilliant daughter of Russell Simmons and our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Kimora Lee Simmons, who avoids posting photos of her face on her own Instagram page, and how I believe it stems from nasty comments from the public about her looks.

The harsh critique from the public probably explains why Beyonce famously shielded her daughter Blue Ivy‘s face when she shared photos of her during her infancy to toddler years, and Kelly Rowland for the first year of her son’s life as well.

If you follow actress Zoe Saldana‘s social media, you will see that she was telling t to share a photo of her twin boys, Cy and Bowie and their baby brother either but has recently.

Over the pond, singer and TV presenter Rochelle Humes features many snaps of her daughters on Instagram but none of her face.

Another one of this blog’s bumpwatch alums Keisha Knight-Pulliam also refuses to show her daughter Ella Grace’s face on social media.

Then there are the other extremes who don’t show their children’s faces at all, like Kerry Washington, Eva Mendes, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively until recently.

The fans demand it, and many fuss about being denied the chance to gawk at their babies, as if it their right like these who commented under one of Knight-Pulliam’s pics.

And those who do share like Tia Mowry and Solange Knowles have found themselves having to snap back and put mean trolls in their place who called both their sons ugly, as recently as a few years ago.

These reactions prove why it is not a bad idea to keep something private.

Our Celebrity ‘Bumpwatch’ Mom of The Year Is…

In year’s past, we’ve recognized the celebrities that we followed most and we’ve even awarded superlatives. This year, while reviewing a year’s worth of posts, we are prepared to award the Bellyitch Bumpwatch Celebrity Mom-to-Be of the Year.

The honor goes to…. The Over 40 Celebrity!

Several stars including Savannah Guthrie, 45, Tyra Banks (via surrogate) 43, Lisa Ling, 43, Tameka “Tiny” Cottles 40, Eva Mendes, 42, Keri Russell, 40, Alanis Morissette, 42 and Janet Jackson, 50 welcomed or announced a pregnancy this year.

Why do they deserve special recognition over the 20 and 30-something millennial celebrities who also gave birth in 2016, you ask?

As women age, it becomes even more challenging to conceive without medical intervention and to carry a baby to term. Therefore, when it happens, there is even more reason to celebrate given the odds and hurdles that must be overcome to achieve success.

Gestational carrier, surrogacy, adoption and other medical methods like IVF and donor egg have made it possible for some. A few have been successful without medical assistance. Either way, our hats off to those who balanced career and family and still had the time, ability and inclination to want to welcome a new addition in 2016.

You guys are the real MVP!

And more veteran moms over 40 have been keeping up and showing out the younger ones by showing off super fit bods. Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Ripa, Mel B. and Halle Berry shared photos of themselves in social media with super toned and ripped physiques.

Granted, we know celebrity women have access to personal chefs, trainers and a team of assistants to help them out with their children so they can hit the gym regularly and often. Also, they work in an industry where it is essential for them to have their bodies snatched back into fit and trim shape, but it still takes harder work and more dedication to stay fit when your metabolism slows and it gets harder to shed pounds and keep it off.

You probably have never seen Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes‘ 19-month daughter Esmeralda Amada in the media because the two stars do a great of  keeping her private and totally out of the public eye. 

Now the two stars will soon have another child to conceal from the masses as they are reportedly expecting their second child, US Weekly reports. 

The Notebook actor and the Hitch actress began dating after meeting on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011.

Eva Mendes Adds ‘Sexy Mom’ Flavor to Her NY&CO Collection

Eva Mendes has been designing clothes for her New York & Company line for several seasons now, but one recent major life event has since shifted her perspective on what women want to wear: becoming a mother.

E! News caught up with proud new mama to baby Esmeralda and chatted with Mendes about much her new September collection means to her.

“I think that being a mom now myself, I love dressing…not so much like a mom but there is a sexiness in kind of giving into the mom thing and that I’m dressing as an example for a little girl. Like, I’m someone’s example!”

The brunette beauty added, “That’s exciting for me and I make clothes that I think are really beautiful for moms, for all women, but certainly for moms.”

And when asked how she feels about seeing more diversity on the runways at fashion weeks across the globe, Mendes dished, “I don’t think it’s one or the other. I think as long as there is diversity and everyone is represented, that’s pretty rad.”

During her recent interview with Glam Belleza Latina‘s 2015 Fall issue, Mendes shared that she loves getting feedback from her customers and women on social media about her New York & Company collection and her CIRCA Beauty line.

In fact, many have wondered if it’s really her taking the time out to respond to the many comments on her Instagram, to which she answered, “That is 100 percent me. It actually breaks my heart when I can’t respond. I love connecting with women; it’s fun for me.”

Is Eva Mendes 7-Months pregnant with Ryan Gosling’s kid?

Sources close to US Weekly  say that actress Eva Mendes and her boyfriend actor Ryan Gosling are expecting their first child together. The source also reveals that the Hitch star is in her last trimester of pregnancy at 7 -months!
Wow! If she is that far along, we will have to add her to the long and growing list of celebrity women who managed to conceal their pregnancies well beyond their 5th month gestation which include Nicole Richie, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and Beyonce who didn’t announce until their 4th or 5th month and Jennifer Hudson and Evangeline Lily who weren’t discovered until nearly term.
