Yesterday on the CBS talk show The Talk, actress and comedian Aisha Tyler opened up about her and husband Jeff Tietjens‘ struggles ton conceive biological children.
The 42-year old said she has had several failed IVF treatments with the ladies on Tuesday’s show, revealing that doctors have given her a less than 5% chance of ever getting pregnant due to a “tortuous fallopian tube.”
“The hardest part, I think, is I really love my husband,” Aisha said to the visibly teary group. “He’s such a good person. He would be such a good father, you know? It would be so great to see a little him running around in tiny work man’s Dickies. But we just decided it wasn’t worth it to go though that, and so we decided to stop.”
The brave former host of The Soup on comedy channel said she is open to adoption.
“I love the idea of adoption, but I feel like this is such a fresh wound that I want to let it heal for a little while before I think of what to do next.”
