I’m a new fan of actress Marla Sokoloff who kept it real during an interview with Celebrity Baby Scoop recently. She said she saw no need to draft up a 50-page baby plan that could be thrown out the window as what happened with a girlfriend of hers. She also said she had no plans to have a “pain killer” free pregnancy.
While acknowledging that she and her husband had picked a name for their soon-to-be born daughter, she said they decided not to tell anyone including their family members.
On having a name: “We do but we’re keeping it a secret,” Sokoloff told Celebrity Baby Scoop. “We love the name so much and came up with it super early and just decided to not allow any opinions weigh in. Our families are starting to get a little bitter about it.”
Good for her. I’m down with all of that. There’s nothing wrong with going with the flow, using pain management and keeping folks negativity out of your personal space and from toxifying the good feeling you have and have built up about your soon-to-be born child. So many people like to criticize moms and moms-to-be’s choice and insist they do what THEY’d like to do. All it does is create unneeded additional anxiety and tension. Just say no to pregnancy bullies. There is more than one way to deliver a baby and raise a child.
