What the…my husband made it a point to make sure I see this story about a DC suburb’s decision to criminally charge the parents of three Loudoun County, Virginia school children for taking the trio late to school 30 times during the school year. The family lives a mile from the school but mom Maureen Blake, who is responsible for rounding up the kids and schlepping them to Waterford Elementary School in Leesburg, Virginia each day, can’t seem to get it together. She usually gets them in a few minutes late. I think the criminal misdemeanor charge is a bit too much. I understand that they have no excuse because other parents manage to get their kids to school on time and probably have the same types of issues but really? Criminal charges? The sheriff has said the charges will likely be dropped, but still. Ugh! Thoughts?
