Next Saturday is National Costume Swap Day, Saturday, October 13! It is a great economical and eco-friendly way to reduce your carbon footprint by swapping your or your kids’ old costumes.
Even if you can’t make the swap day, different groups and individuals have set up different types of swaps at different times all month!
For example, one of the swaps in DC will give parents one ticket for each clean gently used costume they turn in. They come back on October 17 on a swap day and can use the ticket towards the purchase of one other costume. I love that option because you can get tickets for more than one year’s worth of costumes and mom and dad may be able to pick up a costume too! Sweet!
Check out this WEBSITE where you can plug in your information and find private and public swaps near you! How fun!
