Television journalist and former The View co-host Lisa Ling told US Weekly that she is building a eco-friendly nursery for the expectant baby girl who is due to arrive any day now.
“We’re doing a partial green nursery and trying as hard as we can to do as much organic stuff for our nursery as we can,” the host of OWN Networks’ Our America told the magazine back in January when sh was then entering her 8th month of pregnancy.
She also admitted struggling with the idea of going all the way green and opting to use cloth diapers.
“I don’t know that I’m going to entirely do cloth diapers,” she said. “I’d like to be be ambitious about it, but in all honesty I can’t say that I will.”
Ling and hubby Paul Song, a physician and biotech firm president, suffered a devastating misscarriage in 2010 and worked hard to have a baby not ruling out adoption, according to an interview she gave to More magazine afterwards, the mag reports.
She said hubby Song has spoiled her rotten during her pregnancy by cooking healthy foods for her.
“He’s a great cook,” Ling told US Weekly said of Song. “I don’t cook anything. So he’s been extra-generous about cooking, but really healthy foods. I crave a lot of salt.”
