“We gonna have a midwife and a doula at the crib and she’s gonna be
in a pool and it’s gonna be like a relaxing environment and when she’s
ready she’s gonna tell me when to stick my hands down there and I’m
gonna pull the baby out (sic)… I’m excited, I’m ready. I’m mean I’m
nervous too, but it’s a good nervous, it’s not like a confused nervous,
like, ‘What do I do?’”
Wiz revealed that Rose decided on the home birth after watching Abby Epstein‘s documentary The Business of Being Born which was executive produced by talk show host Ricki Lake.
Rose chimed in:
just said how the hospitals basically intervene and don’t give you
enough time to have your baby. They are just like ‘the baby’s heart rate
is falling, we have to cut him out,’ and I don’t want to do that…We
feel like that’s where people go to die or when they are sick. I’m not
sick. From the beginning of time people squatted and had their babies
and that’s what I want to do. No medication.
