Congratulations to US Olympic Gold medalist Dominique Dawes.
The mom-to-be and former decade-long member of the US Olympic gymnastic team posted the above photo on her Facebook page today, revealing that she is quite pregnant and soon to deliver her first child.
Later in the day, she let her thousands of followers know that her reading material has changed since becoming pregnant:
From the look on the ring on her finger, she is married but has managed to keep her personal and relationship and dating life out the media spotlight. Good job, lady! That is a hard to accomplish.
And it’s not that the petite Maryland-native hadn’t clued us in this past September when she shared this photo:
She will soon join other past US Girls Olympic gymnast team members who’ve had babies including, Kerri Strug last Julne 2012, Shannon Miller, who had her second child this July 2013 after battling cancer, and Dominique Mocceaneu, who has two children with her husband fellowgymnast Mike Canales.
Since retiring from the sport, Dawes has coached, been a media analyst, motivational coach and speaker, consultant and a TV host and sports commentator.
