Man, I thought I had a decent Valentine’s Day. A lot of our celebrity bumpwatch alums celebrated the day of love by sharing their gifts, and love notes from their respective.
The gifts Khloe Kardashian alone got from her sisters, mom, family and friends! My word. See it here before her stories expire.
Ok. Halloween was Wednesday but I say until the end of Daylight’s Savings Time, it’s open season for bloggers to share Halloween costumes and their fave costume posts before we launch into Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Holiday season posts.
So…Here is my list of fave celebrity Halloween costume photos featuring their families and children that they shared in social media.
First, our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums, the celeb women whose pregnancies we’ve featured on this blog:
Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel and their son Silas went as the Lego version of Batman, Robyn and Harley Quinn!
Neil Patrick Harris and his fam usually do the best each year and this year was no different when they dressed as ghosts from the past.
Ciara and her fam dressed as characters from the Black Panther movie.
I saw an article by the UK Sunsuggesting that Khloe Kardashian cut her carbs to have a small baby. It then talked to an expert who expressed concern that restricting your diet over fears of a big baby could have a negative impact on a pregnancy.
The Sun quoted Lorna Marsh, Associate Editor at BabyCentre, who told Fabulous Online: “It’s sad to hear of an influential celebrity endorsing any dieting in pregnancy, especially as it’s unlikely to affect a baby’s size, which depends on so many factors.”
When I looked into the context of the suggestion, I figured out that Khloe was actually watching her diet reasonably over concern about having to get a C-section which is common with babies that are too large to fit in the birth canal. Khloe said on an episode of her hit E! show Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she wanted to have a vaginal birth like her sisters.
“If I want a donut or cookies I’ll eat them, I’m not depriving myself,” she told her mom, Kris Jenner, who said she wanted to see Khloe eat more. “Everything I’m doing is instructed by my doctor,” adding, “I would love to avoid a C-section if possible, but if my baby turns out to be really big, I’m gonna have to get a C-section.”
As a woman who suffered from gestational diabetes with her first child, I am going to jump on Khloe’s side on this one. It is a FACT that excessive eating, especially of carbohydrates and sweets can in fact cause your baby to be too big, but more importantly, it can cause the mom to develop GD, the temporary condition where mom and baby have diabetes during the pregnancy.
It goes away once mom gives birth. The body senses the baby as a foreign invader and stops making insulin as it should and that’s why it is not a permanent conditition, though after a woman gets it, her and her child are more prone to develop Type 2 Diabetes later in life or some other autoimmune condition. It’s serious stuff!
I’ve blogged this before, but I used to drink 7-11Slurpees daily because I discovered they helped me stave off the 5 months of morning sickness I experienced all day while pregnant. All of that sugar not only caused me to get too big too soon (and the baby too), but it also contributed to my positive gestational diabetes diagnosis later on in my pregnancy.
I had to measure my blood sugar daily with a stick test and see a dietitian who instructed me to reduce my carbohydrate intake in order to keep myself healthy and to stop the baby from going too much larger.
As a preventative measure, for my following two pregnancies, I stuck to a diet that limited carbs because I did not want to get GD again! It was not fun poking my fingers all the time and also, it is a health risk to the baby.
The doctors and experts who criticize celebs without actually being their physician or caregiver are overstepping their bounds and in this case, giving out potentially bad advice.
So Khloe is right on this one, but I guess spinning it like she was going out of her way to have a tiny baby is better for selling papers! ha!
Traditionally, a “push gift” or “push present” is something a spouse, boyfriend, fiance or partner gives to the woman who gives birth to the couple’s child after delivery, but in the celebrity reality TV world, things are never traditional.
Khloe Kardashian‘s bestie Malika Haqq gave her a diamond personalized ring bearing the name of the youngest Kardashian’s daughter with Kardsahian’s estranged beau NBA star Tristan Thompson.
“Diamonds are always a part of life’s most meaningful moments, which is why I wanted to give this sweet ring to Khloe to celebrate becoming a mom to baby True,” the model and actress captioned an Instagram photo of Kardashian wearing a diamond studded ring that spells out True.
She ended the quote: “Diamonds are also mother nature’s greatest gift, so it had to be something natural. I wanted something that will stand the test of time and is rare, precious and unique. It just seemed like an authentic way to remember this beautiful time in Khloe’s life and in our friendship,” before tagging a diamond producer trade association’s insta, Real is Rare Real is a Diamond.
The love is symbiotic. Haqq’s post came a few days after Kardashian came to Celebrity Big Brother and Dash Dolls alum’s defense after a troll left a mean comment on one of Haqq’s photos.
In the comment section to a cute pic of Haqq in an oversized shirt and thigh high boots, the fan commented: “GIRL BYE!!!!! If it wasn’t for Khloé you would be a nobody… wait who are you again [sic]” to that Khloe replied to the comment:
“We are all entitled to our own opinions,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star clapped back. “And yes, love, you may have yours. But no need to be cruel when life is negative enough. But if it wasn’t for Malika then who knows where I would be emotionally.”
She went on to write, “She’s been my BFF since we were children. Loyalty and love means more to me than anything else ever could. Fame is fleeting. Malika is not.”
In an new exclusive interview with the three of the women of the Kardashian clan who are moms, Kylie Jenner, Khole and Kim Kardashian West, E! Newsuncovers the women’s deepest thoughts and opinions about motherhood.
If you didn’t catch the entire interview on E at 7|6c and 11|10c on August 1, 2018 when it aired, you can look for the replays! Here is a snippet:
NBA star Tristan Thompson’s other child Prince Thompson is now actively starring in his mom Jordan Craig‘s Instagram and fashion and lifestyle brand after a year of being obscured by mom.
In a recent post, the Fashion Instagram and Lifestyle blogger shared a photo of herself and her son in equestrian gear as she helped the 1 1/2 year old mount a riding horse. Mom plugged a “mommy and me” blog post she wrote on her All Eyes on Jordy C blog. It was a tender letter to her son.
“Dear Little P, There aren’t many things that excite me these days, the way that watching you grow does,” she wrote. “Watching you grow and do things for the first time is such an addicting, fulfilling feeling! Whether it’s traveling the world with mommy or equestrian riding for the first time at just 1 year old…your expressions and excitement are always priceless. On this day you rode your first horse (3 to be exact) at Le Chateau in North Carolina. At first, you were very skeptical about these big creatures but of course in no time you warmed up to them and couldn’t get enough!!”
The post continued: “I can’t wait until you are old enough to see all of your photos and watch all of the footage Mommy is constantly documenting of your every move. LOL! You are such a smart and well rounded little gentleman! I can’t wait for you to experience your next adventure!!!”
TMZ has previously reported insiders who said that Craig was upset when Thompson and his then girlfriend Khloe Kardashian started sharing photos of Prince that included his face on social media despite what she said she thought was an agreement to not do so. The first photo was an unveiling of an amazing playhouse fit for the son of a rich NBA star! ha! Very nice!
Now that four out of the five original Kardashian-Jenner women are moms and all super svelte and trim post baby delivery, we thought we would take a look at all the various weight loss gimmicks, tricks and hacks the ladies have shared on their social to their fans and followers.
Then I discovered that Cosmo already went thru and found about 13 of them
1. Flat Tummy Lollipops
On Instagram, Kim Kardashian-West posted the #ad above promoting Flat Tummy Co’s appetite-suppressing lollipops, calling them “literally unreal.” (She later deleted it.) The manufacturer’s website claims these candies contain an active ingredient called Satiereal, “a clinically proven safe active ingredient extracted from natural plants.” Eating one to two pops per day in response to hunger is supposed to promote satiety to help control food intake, cravings, and weight, and help hold you over until your next meal, all according to the website.
Khloé Kardashiansays wearing this secret weapon(essentially a trash bag that contains body heat during workouts) makes her sweat two to three times as much. “I like wearing the sauna suit during cardio, but you burn more calories and break a sweat faster even if you’re lifting weights,” she wrote on her app. She also says she drinks two or three times as much to prevent dehydration.
3. Cut out dairy
Khloé has said she lost 11 pounds in a month and a half by eliminating dairy from her diet and replacing foods like cheese, milk, pizza, and ice cream with dairy-free items.
4. Give up Gluten
Khloé’s nutritionist cut gluten out of her diet — and Kourtney recently put herself and her kids on a gluten-free diet too, bringing dairy-free, gluten-free cookies to her brother Rob’s birthday party for her kids to eat instead of birthday cake.
5. Wear a Waist Trainer
Khloé has endorsed Fit Tea Wraps (in sponsored posts, FWIW). Essentially, they’re a sheet mask soaked in a special gel made with ingredients like green tea, cocoa extra, and a bunch of other stuff that’s difficult to pronounce. You apply it to an area like your stomach, wrap it in cellophane to soak in, and rub the excess gel into the skin to minimize the appearance of cellulite for a firmer, toned look.
Speaking of Cardi B., her maternity style has been similar to Khloe Kardashian’smarked by oversized t-shirts and boots. It’s kinda attainable and could be pulled off by most people. You just have to get over any insecurity you have with wearing thigh high boots.
This weekend, the rapper sported an oversized black Lady Diana tribute print T-shirt from Far Fetch under an over sized acid washed denim jacket with gold hoops and blue-grey thigh high boots while performing at the annual Broccoli Festival in Washington, DC this past weekend.
With news outlets reporting that Kris Jenner has been instrumental in helping her daughter Khloe Kardashian adjust to motherhood and with Mother’s Day around the corner, it’s a good day time to think about ways to thank moms for being great grandmamas!
If you’re fortunate enough to live close to your mother, there’s a good chance that she’s looked after your own children a time or two. Watching your children for an extended period, like over the cry of “Thanks!” as you pack everyone into the car.
Here are 25 unexpected ways you can thank your mom for looking after your children after the years she spent raising you.
Surprise House Cleaning – Your mom not only watches your kids, but also spent a significant chunk of her life cleaning up after you. Say thank you by springing a surprise house-cleaning on her sometime!
Flowers – Whether you buy a bouquet of her favorite blooms or present a hand-picked bunch, there’s something about a gift of flowers that shows gratitude and appreciation beautifully.
Homemade Cards – Get the kids together and create a handmade card to present to Grandma as a token of your collective appreciation. It’s sure to end up proudly displayed on the refrigerator.
Store-Bought Greeting Cards – Sometimes a spontaneous gift is best. Snagging a “Thinking of You” card that’s not occasion-specific while you’re at the market and inscribing a message that expresses your thanks lets your mom know that you’re thinking of her and that you’re appreciative of the things she does to help you.
A Special Meal – Who knows your mom’s favorite meal better than you do? Preparing her favorite dish is a great way to say thank you, especially if you modify it to meet dietary needs that are changing with age.
Offer a “Free Favor” – Present your mom with a card promising one free favor, to be called in at any time in exchange for watching the kids. When you hand it over, explain that it’s a show of gratitude, and that her help makes a difference in your life.
Pick Up the Tab – Your mom has been buying you dinner for decades. If you want to thank her for all the time she spends watching your children, consider taking her out to a nice place and picking up the tab.
Give Her the Title of “World’s Best Grandma” – It may be a cheesy coffee mug or a hokey baseball cap, but a bit of merchandise emblazoned with your mom’s title of “World’s Best Grandma” lets everyone know just where she stands.
A Meaningful Gift – There are always things that people want, but can’t justify purchasing for themselves. Listen to your mom when she talks and glean bits of information from what she says to find the perfect thank-you gift.
Handle an Unpleasant Task – Whether it’s clearing a stubborn clog or cleaning the toilet, there’s always some distasteful task that needs to be completed around the house. Taking care of one such task for your mom is a practical and considerate way of thanking her for the things she does.
Give Her the Gift of Quality Time – The frenetic pace of today’s world can leave you spending no more time with your mom than it takes to drop off and pick up the kids. Even if it’s just a cup of coffee before work, carve out some quality time to spend with your mom to thank her.
Baked Goods – Cupcakes, cookies and other baked goods are always a welcome gift, and a great way to show your appreciation for someone you love.
Video Thank You Notes – Get the family together and create a video thank you note for Grandma. Encourage little ones to sing a song or do a dance, and address the things she does that you appreciate directly.
A Scrapbook – There’s nothing quite as powerful as a scrapbook filled with precious mementos and photographs. It may be a time-consuming task, but compiling a scrapbook full of memories for your mom is a great way to show that you care.
Arts and Crafts Projects – Handmade gifts can be more personal and heartfelt than the store-bought variety, so consider making a few things to give to your mother in appreciation.
A Handwritten Letter – Today’s high-tech world relies on emails and text messages to communicate, and the art of the handwritten letter seems to be dying. Put pen to paper and share your appreciation in a way your mom can save for posterity.
Sweet Surprises – Show up to collect your kids with your mother’s favorite candy or other sweet treat. Even though it’s a simple gift, it shows your appreciation.
Gift Cards – Picking up a gift card to your mother’s favorite store or restaurant is a great way to show your thanks, especially if you tuck it inside a card or letter.
Poetry – If you have a flair for words, why not pen a quick poem? Whether it’s sentimental enough to be a greeting card verse or a few silly rhymes designed to bring a smile to mom’s face, the effort will certainly be appreciated.
Inscribed Plants – Moms with green thumbs will be thrilled with an inscribed plant, like Magic Bean in a Can. When the plant grows, a message of your thanks is actually inscribed upon the leaves. It doesn’t get much cooler than that!
Banners and Signs – Surprise your mom with a large banner or sign expressing your thanks. For particularly special occasions, you may even want to integrate party whistles and hats.
Subscription to a Favorite Magazine – Print magazines haven’t quite gone the way of the dinosaur, especially for the older set. Gifting your mom with a subscription to her favorite periodical as a token of your appreciation really is the gift that keeps on giving!
Public Recognition – Few things show just how proud you are of your mother and how much you appreciate the time she spends with your kids like a public recognition of her efforts. Whether it’s a speech at a party or a post on her Facebook wall, let the world know you’re grateful to your mom!
A Phone Call – If the hustle and bustle of each day’s demands leaves you only enough time to call your mother for drop-off and pick-up coordination, set aside a block of time to really talk. She knows just how busy you are, and it will mean the world.
Group Hugs! – An enthusiastic group hug with choruses of thank yous is an exciting and affectionate way to show your gratitude to your mom for looking after your brood.
True Thompson is the newest Kardashian/Jenner baby.
Khloe Kardashian announced Monday that she and her estranged beau Tristan Thompson have chosen to name their first daughter together, True, going with a supremely unique and celebrity-ish name.
“Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE,” she wrote on social media. “Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!”
With cousins named North, West, Saint, Stormi, Dream and Reign, what would one expect? I like True! It has much character, to me.
According to insiders, Khloe is focusing on being mom and less on any controversy or personal turmoil between herself and Tristan.
“Khloe is mesmerized and completely in love with the baby,” a source toldE! News. “That’s all she’s thinking about is caring for the baby and being positive.”
Things are still up in the air regarding her personal relationship with True’s dad.
“She hasn’t made any decisions on what she’s going to do regarding Tristan,” the insider explained. “She is overcome with emotion and can’t think about anything other than the baby right now.”
Mom Kris Jenner is in Cleveland helping her daughter out with the first weeks. Kris was also there to help Khloe labor.
“Everyone is focused on helping Khloe and staying positive at this time,” a source previously said. “They want her to be comfortable and not stressed at all. They are focusing on the baby and crying a lot of happy tears at the moment.”
