Expecting: Chrissy Teigen Didn’t Think She Could Get Pregnant ‘Naturally’ Even After Having 2 Kids

While dealing with infertility, Chrissy Teigen waited along time to have her child, weathered through many prying eyes and brushed aside the hurt of getting constant queries from strangers, the media and general public all wanting to know when she would start a family.

After years of fertility, she welcomed her first child, daughter 4-year old Luna with husband singer/songwriter John Legend in 2016 and second, now 2–year old son Miles  in 2018.

Soon, she will be a mom of three, with the upcoming birth of her first child conceived without the aid of in vitro fertilization and science.

The model turned TV host and cook book author announced her pregnancy over the weekend.

In a video posted onTwitter the Lipsync Battle host and Chrissy’s Court ‘judge’ cradled her baby bump in a video posted to social media and said, “Look at this third baby s–t.”

Per CNN:

Both of Teigen’s previous pregnancies have been through in vitro fertilization (IVF), she said. She didn’t think she could get pregnant naturally.

This time, though, she was wrong. And she was scared, she said.

“Was pretty positive you shouldn’t get your boobs out while pregnant? Pretty sure,” she said.

“So we prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay. Went to every appointment terrified. Even without the surgery, I didn’t think I could get pregnant naturally anyway. So the odds just felt…bad.”

So far, things have been going pretty well for the soon-to-be mom of three. But she’s still worried.

“Part of me misses the safety of my perfect embryos, created in their little dish. They felt untouchable and safe. Now I feel a bit…eggshelly,” she said.

Still, she said she hopes her experience getting pregnant naturally will give others, who may have struggled with it in the past, some hope.

Teigen and Legend are already the parents of Luna and Miles, 4 and 2, respectively. Teigen has, in the past, been very open with her struggles getting pregnant, even opening up about her postnatal depression she experienced after giving birth to Luna.

Congrats!

The 5 Clues Fans Used to Determine Nicki Minaj was Pregnant Before She Announced

Congratulations are in order to rapper Nicki Minaj  who is expecting her first child with her husband Kenneth Petty as she announced her news on her Instagram yesterday to the surprise of none of the Internet sleuths who had already recognized all the clues that she was pregnant, beginning with speculation last month when she posted a curious photo trying to conceal her bump in high rise bikini bottoms.

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” Minaj captioned the third in a set of formal colorful maternity photos where she is sitting on a pink couch. The last  of the photos is her draped in white in an editorial shot made to look angelic, taken by famed photographer David LaChappelle.

Part of being a celebrity woman of child bearing years is that you have people constantly speculating about whether or not you are pregnant. It can frustrating especially if you had been actively trying but keep having to see and respond or ignore rumors published in the tabloids or social media. Model Chrissy Teigen, actress Gabrielle Union and many others suffered with infertility while batting down insenstive demands from people asking when they would be having their first chilld.

However, when the moment that a star does get pregnant, she then has the challenge that many women have of trying to keep it private for at least the first three months when the risk for miscarriage is the highest. After the first trimester, the chances of that mom-to-be carrying a baby full term and having a healthy labor and delivery shoots up exponentialy.

Still, sometimes the public guesses right because there are tell tale signs and Minaj displayed them ALL!!!

After the Super Bass performer made her announcement, many fans said in the comment sections under news reports that the news was of no surprise to them based on the various clues that exist when a woman in the spotlight is hiding her pregnancy:

1. She only shared head shots in social media

For women who famously show off their fab bods at every chance they get, seeing them suddenly stick to posting head shots inscial meida is a dead giveaway that they are trying to perhaps hide weight gain in the tummy area and elsewhere.

For the weeks leading up to the announcement the Anaconda rapper shared photos of her self performing songs with only her head in the shot.

2. She wore clothes that covered her belly.

Getty

You can hide your body by carefully selecting what you post but unless you plan to live a hermit life or escape to another country, then there is a high liklihood that the paparazzi will spot you out and about.

When Kylie Jenner was secrety pregnant with her daughter Stormi, fans speculated her condition because she wore baggy clothes. Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, revealed that she used an A-line coat to hide her bump until she announced the news that she was expecting a baby.

If you are pregnant during Award season, as Cardi B was, you can get your stylist to design outfits that creatively conceal your bump.

Most recently, currently pregant stars, actress Sophie Turner and model Gigi Hadid were spotted in super baggy clothes and reported frequently as being pregnant in the gossip press. The oversized PJs were a dead give away Hadid and boyfriend Zayn Malik were expecting their first child together even before she confirmed her news last week.

3. She drops out of public light

Similarly, it is always suspicious when women who usually crave the spotlight drop out of the public eye. That too is a signal they may be secretly expecting.  On the real, Minaj literally told the world she was baby making when she quit music via Twitter last September to start her family.  But because she had quit Twitter before after having beefs with her ex Meek Mill, rap nemesis Remy Ma, not a lot of people took the announcement seriously.

The quarantine period was very convenient for Jessica Biel to lay low and incubate a whole other person. She and her musician/producer husband Justin Timberlake reportedly welcomed their second child recently and no one knew. They tore a page out of Ana Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias‘ book when those two had a whole set of twins on the download back in 2017.

Some have tried to keep the secret for the total nine months and have come close.

Evangeline Lily and Jennifer Hudson got caught by paparazzi both around 8 months pregnant. They were in remote places where there is no Hollywood scrutiny but still got busted.

Others succeed.

In 2018,  How to Get Away with Murder star Karla Souzaand in 2014, Ozark star Laura Linney announced the birth of their first child, respectively, after the baby was already born.

4. She Subconsciouly (or her partner) Touches her Belly

Getty

Last month, Minaj gave yet another clue when she showed a video of Petty rubbing her belly. In other years, the maternal subtle cradle of the tummy is a sign a woman is expecting. It’s a subcouncous and natural maneuver which is a sign.

5. Her face looks fuller

Weight gain is a sign of pregnancy and even for women who manage to not pack on the pounds, a dead giveaway is a fuller rounder face. Many fans speculated and noticed that in the video for Trollz with Ta, Minaj face looked significantly more cherubic than usual.

Well there you have it. If you are a woman in the lime light and seek to totally hide your pregnancy from the media and the public, avoid doing any of the above. Good luck!

Khloe Kardashian On Co-Parenting with Tristan Thompson: ‘We’re Doing a Great Job’

By ALYSSA RAY

Khloe Kardashian knows you can’t believe she’s happily co-parenting with ex Tristan Thompson, because it “surprises the hell out of [her] too.”

Today, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star virtually stopped by Daily Pop and gave insight to E!’s Justin Sylvester about her cordial relationship with daughter True Thompson‘s dad.

“We’re doing a great job and I’m really grateful that we’re able to,” the Good American mogul noted.

As E! readers may recall, Khloe and Tristan welcomed their daughter into the world in April 2018. While the reality TV star and the NBA athlete are no longer a couple, they make an active effort to co-parent their now 2-year-old.

Most recently, the former flames celebrated the Fourth of July together at Tristan’s home, alongside Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian. And although that may seem odd to some, Khloe clarified it’s normal within the Kardashian-Jenner family.

She continued, “I come from a family that, you know, my mom and my dad they would have dinner once a week. And my stepdad and my dad would play golf once a week together. So, I come from a family that…just because people aren’t together doesn’t mean you have to be rude or they’re out of your life.”

Case in point: Two of Khloe‘s sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, have maintained friendly relationships with the fathers of their respective children.

“You share children with them and you want to kind of have this blended family,” Khloe added. “So, I’m just used to that. I’m sure it’s so weird to so many people.”

Later in the interview, Khloe noted that her ex has been “so amazing during this quarantine” as he’s “been so helpful.”

She expressed, “You know, when you can’t rely on so many other people’s help, it’s so great that you have like, essentially he’s your partner, he’s True’s dad. And I need his help more now.”

Furthermore, the E! personality noted that she and her ex have “been getting along,” which she described as “weirdly really good.”

And, with her ongoing battle with migraines, we’re sure the help has been appreciated.

During her exclusive chat with Justin, Khloe discussed her partnership with Nurtec ODT and their “Take Back Today” campaign. Khloe, who has suffered from migraines since “about the 6th grade,” sounded off on her experience with the pill.

“So many people suffer from migraines, predominantly women, and they really are something that can be debilitating,” she shared. “It’s a dissolvable pill, an oral dissolvable pill. Something I have been able to take that’s been one of the very few things that helped me with migraines, especially during quarantine.”

She did note that a listed side effect is nausea.

Gigi Hadid Says She’s Kept Pregnancy Low Key Because the BLM and Covid are More Important

During her first official baby bump reveal this week, model GiGi Hadid said that she’s kept her pregnancy private because it is”not the most important thing going on in the world” among topics like the coronavirus and subsequently the Black Lives Movement.

[Editor’s note: it was quite a revealing share becuase back in April, we blogged about how the general public had become less interestED in celebrity news because the Covid-19 pandemic]

In an Instagram Live share on Wednesday, July 15th, the first-time mom-to-be replied to fans who wanted to know why she had not discussed or posted about her pregnancy before.

“That’s a reason that I felt that it’s not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to [the] coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening,” Gigi said in the video. “And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM [Black Lives Matter] movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”

By the end of the brief but very transparent video share, Hadid opened up and lifted the top of her Holiday the Label pajama top to reveal her baby bump. [by the way the $245 PJs are sold out!]

“There’s my belly y’all,”  she commented in response to some fans who earlier accused her during a Live Instagram with V-Magazine  that she was hiding her pregnancy with her flowing tops.

“Like it’s there, it’s just from the front it’s different,” she laughed.

The model also used the occasion of her first reveal this week to plug her ‘Gigi Journal Part II’ which features 32 exclusive pieces of art and writing from around the world that Hadid handpicked from over 20,000 submissions. The selected works make up the visual and written pieces inside, though Hadid painted the Journal’s cover art printed in two special types of ink—solar-activated and glow-in-the-dark.

“The 64-page, limited-edition hardbound book channels a multitude of current issues—including but not limited to global public health crises and black Americans’ ongoing struggle for equality,” the sales page on V-magazine reads about the $55 journal. “V hopes that the Journal’s diverse content, from creative writing to miniature sculpture to protest art, will not only encapsulate our current moment, but also help to initiate change. With Gigi as Guest Editor and Creative Director, this breakthrough special edition is a labor of love and a true keepsake.”

A percentage of proceeds to be split among four organizations: Black Lives Matter, the NAACP, the ACLU, and Campaign Zero. Hadid will match the proceeds with a personal donation.

She ended the video by revealing that she has been journaling about the pregnancy, taking photos and plans to share the journey later with her fans.

“I just am not rushed to do it, and I feel like right now I just want to experience it, and I write in my journal a lot,” she said. “and I just don’t want to worry about waking up everyday during my pregnancy and like worry about having to like look cute or post something.”

Hadid’s mom Yolanda Hadid revealed during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon  in April that she is expecting a granddaughter and that her daughter’s due date is in September, adding that the “silver lining” of the coronavirus is that she and her loved ones are “able to be home and be together and really experience it day by day.”

Tragic Week For Celebrity Moms: Naya Rivera, Kelly Preston, Lisa Marie Presley’s Son Ben

It has been a tragic week with deaths of celebrity women covered in the past or their relatives.

Yesterday, it was revealed that authorities recovered the body of Glee alum Naya Rivera who had apparently gotten swept in an undercurrent while swimming with her son Josey at Lake Pichu in California last week.  The 4-year old was found sleeping on the boat that his mom rented for their daytime excursion. When discovered, he told police that he and his mom went swimming but she didn’t come up.  Aftera a few days search, search and rescue crew knew where to look for Rivera after sharing that she 33-year old former child star had shared a photo of Josey posing in front of a particular cove in the lake.

Rivera was an experienced boater. The death may be ruled accidental drowning, despite earlier speculation that she might had committed suicide.

The day before this news, actress Kelly Preston was confirmed by her husband actor John Travolta. She succumbed to her two year battle with breast cancer. Preston was mom to three, incuding her son Jett who preceded her in death when he passed away at age 16, back in 2009. She later gave birth to son Benjamin at age 47, who now survives his mom along with his older sister Ella.

Benjamin Keough, the grandson of Elvis Presley died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on July 12, TMZ reported. His mother, Lisa Marie Presley‘s, rep Roger Widynowski said the singer is “completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated.”

“She adored that boy. He was the love of her life,” the statement continued.

Editor’s Note: While there has not been any official news about the circumstances of Nicole Thea and her son’s death, this is a great time to bring awareness once again to the fact that Black Women in the US and the UK have disporportionate high levels and rates of Maternal Mortality and more needs to be done to reverse this terrible trend!

When Nicole Thea shared the news of her pregnancy, she relayed that the baby was a “miracle” which perhaps hints to pre-existing condition or challenge that cropped back up. Per the

“We can’t hide this any longer, secrets out.. GOD gave us the biggest blessing yet. Usain Bolt Introduces the World to Newborn Daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt

Congrats to Jamaican Olympic legend Usain Bolt who became a father back in May but recently shared a photo this past Tuesday with the name of his daughter: Olympia Lightning Bolt.

Little Olympia was born to mom Kasi Bennett in May, according to a tweet sent that month by Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

Baby’s name is an ode to the Olympics which made Bolt famous and also his last name is a natural reason to give her that particular unconventional middle name. Oh the pressure to be fast is on for that little girl! lol

Bolt also used the day to wish his girlfriend a Happy Birthday.

“I want to wish my gf @kasi__b a happy birthday,” he captioned a tweet with professional newborn photos. “I get to spend ur special day with u.
