The guy who first gained fame for his good looking felon mugshot, otherwise known as “prison bae” has accomplished what is being called the biggest “come up” in history

Blue eyed felon turned model Jeremy Meeks is expecting a child with the billionaire heiress of the Topshop fortune, TMZ reports.

Sources close to the couple confirmed with the celebrity gossip site that Chloe Green and Meeks have been together since last June while Meeks was still married to the mom of his children and wife of 8 years.

Meeks, who was signed to a modeling agency and has walked in several fashion shows, only  recently settled child support with ex wife Melissa Meeks.

This will be Green’s first child and though there has been no official news of an engagement, Green was spotted sporting a gigantic solitaire ring on the ring finger on her left hand.

What a difference two years and a gorgeous viral mugshot makes!

The NHL is showing their support and offering their condolences to Ottawa Senators captain Erik Karlsson, 27 and his new wife since last August 2017 Melinda Currey.

Karlsson was absent from Tuesday nights game against the Florida Panthers. Shortly after the game, the team released a statement breaking the tragic news that Erik’s unborn son had died.

The NHL released a press release:

“The collective thoughts and prayers of the Ottawa Senators organization, the city of Ottawa and entire hockey community rest with Erik and Melinda Karlsson following the loss of their son. We ask that you respect the family’s wishes for privacy during the grieving process.”

Karlsson asked for privacy after sharing his grief on his Instagram account:

”At this extremely difficult time it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but we know one day we’ll get there,” Karlsson wrote. “We would like to thank everyone for the love and support we have received and also for respecting our privacy and the process we need to go through now.

We feel very lucky to be Axels parents. Even though he was stillborn, we know we will hold him again one day under different circumstances and the joy he gave us will be with us forever.”

Our condolences.

20 Couture Kids Pieces to Get For Your Posh Tots Today

A lot of people admire the the couture clothes worn by children of wealthy celebs like Blue Ivy, North West, Harper Beckham and Princess Charlotte , but in today’s age, it is not uncommon for non-celebrity kids of rich parents to dress similar.

A few years ago, we did a post on New York Post  piece highlighting some of the affluent parents who spend loads of money outfitting their children as young as a few months old in super expensive couture and designer kids clothing.

One Brooklyn mom, Priscilla Monteiro, purchased for her then 5-month old daughter Yasmine and then 4-year old girl Vera outfits that cost over $1400 total each to wear to a swanky industry party on a yacht during the Cannes Films Festival. Another mom, Danielle Fornes, a blogger and former educator, mixed up high end  with affordable pieces but still didn’t think twice about dressing her daughter Jolie in a $395 Ralph Lauren dress and $75 Nordstrom ballet flats.

Another Brooklyn mom Sharra Dade told the paper she dresses her daughter Alyssa who is a child model and actress in upscale clothing because of all the industry events she attends with celebrities. As the Post noted,  Salma Hayek dresses her daughter, Valentina, in Gucci, and Victoria Beckham, dresses Harper, often in Burberryand Stella McCartney.

Fornes made a business out of it, charging Upper West Side parents $200 per hour and $150 for an additional child to dress their kids for upscale events and parties, and essentially to  “keep up with the Joneses.”

“These children on the Upper West Side go to a lot of parties, and though the mothers are friends, it’s embarrassing if their son or daughter is wearing the same outfit as someone else,” Fornes told the New York Post.

It’s a lucrative field and one that many of the top fashion houses aren’t leaving on the table. Roberto CavalliMarc JacobsBurberry, Chloe and other top designer lines all have children’s lines of clothing launched within the last few years.later consigns the clothes that Alyssa wears only once or twice.

And business is booming.

Heidi Lieske of the store Be Mini Couture said “many of our customers are affluent 30- and 40-somethings influenced by mommy blogs and actors who appear with their kids in celebrity magazines.”

The 20+ Comfort Foods You Crave When You’re Preggers

When you’re pregnant, you get so much advice about what to eat, how to exercise and what to do to stay healthy, but sometimes, you just want to vege and chill out and engage in some good old comfort foods. You’re back is achy, your ankles are swollen, your face has broken out, you have heartburn and your sciatica is acting up and you might just want to forget it all and indulge in some comfort treats.

1. Ice

Pregnant women love to chew on ice. Seems strange, since it’s not really a food and doesn’t seem in any way satisfying to those of us not with child, but for some reason pregnant women just can’t get enough. Those with anemia are more likely to be seen chewing on ice, since it can relieve inflammation of the mouth and tongue (a common symptom of anemia).

2. Chocolate

Chocolate — or any sweet, for that matter — is something pregnant women can’t get enough of. This could be because chocolate makes you happy, and since there’s no drinking for pregnant women, chocolate is literally the next best thing. An old wives’ tale states that if you crave sweets, it means you’re carrying a girl.

Tip: If you’re worried about indulging too much, satisfy your chocolate craving by drizzling low-fat chocolate syrup onto fresh fruit.

3. Spicy foods

Spicy foods, such as curry or hot red peppers, are yet another common craving among pregnant women. Interestingly enough, it’s because hot foods make the body sweat, which cools off the body. If you’re currently expecting, then you know it’s almost impossible to stay cool. Try adding some spice to your next meal to see if it helps cool you down.

4. Pickles

Women who crave pickles could be low in sodium, but there’s no real proof of this. Some like the crunch, some like the vinegar, and some like the refreshing taste. Whatever it is, pickle cravings are nothing to be too concerned about. They’re low in calories, easy to get and inexpensive.

5. Potato chips

Potato chips, like pickles, are loaded with salt. Again, you could be low in sodium, but more than likely you’re just desiring something salty and crunchy, and potato chips are what comes to mind. Since they’re high in fat and calories, try reaching for these alternatives instead.

6. Fruit

Pregnant women don’t crave just junk food (surprisingly!) — they crave fruit as well. You (and your body) want a healthy baby, so sometimes it needs extra-healthy foods to make sure that happens. Fruits, such as watermelons and grapes, are cool and refreshing, all while providing your body and baby with a boost of vitamin C.

7. Lemon

It’s not unheard of to see a pregnant woman eating a straight lemon or adding a ton of it to their water. Pregnant women crave sour foods. The reason? Your taste buds change, and typically you like to “shock” them with super-sour or super-spicy foods.

8. Ice cream

Ice cream is sweet, it cools you off, and it’s rich and creamy. With so many flavors to choose from, a pregnant woman could literally spend hours in the ice cream aisle. For a healthier version, buy low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt, and top with fresh fruit. You might kill two cravings in one sitting.

International Women’s Day: New Sheros and Inspiring Women’s Dolls From Mattel

Just in time for today’s International Women’s Day, Mattel has announced that it will soon release a series of brand new Barbie dolls bearing the likeness of women pioneers like artist Frida Kahlo, aviator Amelia Earhart and mathematician Katherine Johnson.

The three women made herstory in different industries: Earhart was the first female aviator to fly across the Atlantic Ocean; Mexican artist Kahlo was known for her unique painting style and feminist activism; and Johnson, who was highlighted in the 2016 film Hidden Figures, broke boundaries for black women in mathematics and calculated dozens of trajectories for NASA, including the 1969 Apollo 11 flight to the moon, an article in HuffPost on this news summarized.

The dolls are part of Mattel’s new series called “Inspiring Women,”  and will be mass produced and sold in stores.

No exact date was announced. The toy company did say that when released, each doll will come with educational information about the woman who inspired it.

“As a brand that inspires the limitless potential in girls, Barbie will be honoring its largest line up of role models timed to International Women’s Day, because we know that you can’t be what you can’t see,” Lisa McKnight, the senior vice president and general manager of Barbie, said Tuesday in a press release. “Girls have always been able to play out different roles and careers with Barbie and we are thrilled to shine a light on real life role models to remind them that they can be anything.”

Also in honor of International Women’s Day, on Thursday, Mattel is presenting again its popular Barbie’s “Shero” line  honoring 14 modern-day role models from around the world.

These dolls are not for sale though a few have wound up on store shelves, HuffPo adds.

The 14 new women Barbie is celebrating with its Shero line includes Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins and Australian wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin. The line already honors women including director Ava DuVernay, actress Emmy Rossum, ballerina Misty Copeland and Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas.

5 Hacks So Your Next Long Car Ride With Baby Is Peaceful

Taking long car trips with a newborn can be a challenge. Denise Stern, founder of Let Mommy Sleep, the country’s leading Baby Nurse and Postpartum Care service, is revealing a few fool-proof tips as you prepare your baby for travel

  1. Practice at home! Many times babies are not used to sleeping in a travel bed or pack-n-play.Put baby in travel bed or pack-n-play for naptime at home in weeks leading up to the trip.
  2. Keep sleep routine as close to home as possible to help baby feel safe and secure.  If weather permits, dress baby in pajamas/sleepsack/swaddle blanket that he/she is accustomed to.  If renting a full-sized travel crib from a hotel, bring bedsheets and breathable bumper from baby’s crib at home to recreate familiar sleep environment. Sing the same bedtime songs you sing at home and read favorite books.
  3. Try to stay on baby’s time. If possible, try to keep naptimes and bedtimes as close to the same schedule as at home.  When traveling across time zones, gradually adjust baby’s bedtime. Some parents like to travel at night so baby can sleep and wake up in destination refreshed. This can lead to an exhausting first day of the trip. If you can “tag-team” with your partner by alternating napping and caring for baby during the first day, then traveling at night could be a possibility.
  4. While it is tempting to let a sleeping baby spend the night in a Once at the destination, do not rely on carseats for safe sleep. carseat or stroller, carseats can sometimes cause breathing problems in babies. Follow the recommendations of the American Association of Pediatrics and the “Back to Sleep” campaign by creating a safe sleep environment and putting baby on back for sleeping.
  5. Slow it down – You’re on Baby’s Time! Don’t expect to have a jam-packed site seeing schedule. All the new sights, sounds, and experiences are very stimulating and exciting for baby. Baby could get fussy if overstimulated and too exhausted.  Remember that sleep begets sleep. Keeping baby awake longer than his/her bodies need may work for one night or one nap, but fighting against baby’s natural rhythms leads to meltdown. While it is nice to have alone time with your partner, caring for a baby can be even more exhausting than usual when traveling. We like to remind parents to not stay up too late too!

Good luck, parents!

Cushnie et Ochs is My new Celeb Fave Designer Label

It was only a week ago that I discovered the long-established line  Cushnie et Ochs when I saw Khloe Kardashian wearing one of its designs, the Black Pyramid Pencil Dress cut out dress on an appearance of Jimmy Kimmel Live about a month ago.

“Since launching in 2008, the line has offered a solid selection of structured, cut-out, body-con dresses, landed in retailers like Bergdorf Goodman and Net-A-Porter, and received the Ecco Domani Award, a CFDA Swarovski Award nomination, and a finalist spot in the CFDA/VogueFashion Fund,” Refinery 29 reports.

The label is a fave of stars like Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Teigen and Michelle Obama and is known for its intricate cut outs and asymmetrical lines and I have been exploring some of their designs and find them to be quite flattering and chic.

And I learned I am not alone in the new discovery. A popular fashion site described the label as coming out of nowhere and exploding on the scene! Read about it here then check out some of their other looks we like below:

10 Coffee Facts To Know Before Your Next Sip, For Preggers Too

Coffee is a unique beverage in that you either love it or you hate it. Some people swear by it as a means to wake up in the morning. Others drink coffee throughout the day to keep them going. However, whether you love it or hate it, there are some things that you may not know about coffee, that you would learn at a Kimbo barista course. Here are some interesting facts for you to ponder.

  1. Where Does Coffee Come From? Coffee only grows in certain climates, namely the ones nearest the equator along what is known as the “Bean Belt.” Hawaii is the only state in the U.S. that grows coffee, known as Kona coffee, while Brazil produces 30% of the world’s coffee. The second leading producer of coffee is Columbia. However, more than 53 countries grow coffee worldwide.
  2. The Coffee Plant. It is arguable whether to call what coffee grows on a bush or a tree, but either way, the coffee bean does not just grow off a branch by itself. It is actually a green seed inside a berry. The seed is removed, roasted and then packaged as coffee beans. The berry from which a coffee bean comes from is comparable to a cherry. The two species of coffee plant that are used for consumption are the Arabica and the Robusta. One coffee tree yields approximately one pound of coffee each year.
  3. How Many Calories Are You Consuming? Black coffee has no calories. That’s right! No calories! The way calories add up is what you put in with your coffee. With the options of cream, sugar and syrups, the calories can add up quickly. Keep that in mind if you are trying to cut down your calorie intake. You don’t need to stop drinking coffee altogether, just hold back on the extras you put into it. Thirty million people in the U.S. purchase specialty coffee drinks each day.
  4. Caffeine: Good or Bad? Caffeine is one of the defining characteristics of coffee. For those of you who have heartburn problems, you might want to cut down on your coffee intake or switch over to decaf, because caffeine is known for increasing heartburn symptoms. However, beware of decaf because it is not completely caffeine free, it’s more of a reduced level of caffeine that can still add up if you drink too many cups of it. On the other hand, the caffeine is also cited as being beneficial for increased thought flow.
  5. National Coffee Day. National Coffee Day is held on September 29. On that day, some businesses give away free or discounted cups of coffee. Some greeting card companies have even gone so far as to create National Coffee Day cards you can send to your friends or coworkers who are as addicted to coffee as you are.
  6. How Many Cups Do We Drink? More than 400 billion cups of coffee are consumed every year. Seattle is known for its coffee enthusiasts and the people who live there consume more coffee per capita than in any other city in the United States. The coffee industry makes approximately 60 billion dollars annually worldwide.
  7. Coffee vs. Water. Coffee is the second largest world commodity. The first is oil. It is also the second most popular drink in the world after water. More than half of the U.S. population over the age of 18 consumes at least one cup of coffee every morning. Women state that they drink coffee to relax and men tend to say that coffee helps them get their work done.
  8. Coffee-Scented Stamps. In 2001, Brazil produced a coffee-scented stamp to promote its commodity. It is said that the smell lasts between 3 to 5 years.
  9. To Freeze or Not to Freeze? Freezing coffee has been said to be a good way to keep it fresh, but as it turns out, the coffee bean easily extracts the flavors of things around it, making it susceptible to changing taste when stored in the freezer. Coffee grounds stay fresh for approximately two weeks outside of the freezer if stored in an airtight container. If stored next to fish or other smellier foods in the freezer, the coffee will adopt that taste, so even if it remains fresh longer, it won’t seem like it with the taste being skewed in that way.
  10. Can I Drink Coffee When I’m Pregnant? There has been research for and against the consumption of coffee during pregnancy. The current recommendation is to consume no more than 300 mg of caffeine each day, and that doesn’t just include coffee, but all sources of caffeine. Whether you are pregnant or not, caffeine intake should be limited. The fatal level of caffeine is the equivalent of 100 cups of coffee at approximately 100 to 200 mg per cup.
