Beyonce Shares Photo of Twins Rumi And Sir at OTRII Tour Opener

Update:  Beyonce’s rep states that the babies she is holding are not her twins. Hrmph!

Beyonce gave the audience in Cardiff, Wales the first glimpse of her twins Rumi and Sir Wednesday at the opening of her and husband Jay Z’s “On the Run II” Tour.

In a large screen video showcase, an image of the superstar in beads and braids appears with Queen B cradling each child in one arm.  The words “Love is Universal” appears as well. The photo is reminiscent of her first photos that she shared shortly after the twin babies were born last July 2017.

One fan capture the image and it quickly went viral. The photo is old’ish because, by now, her son and daughter are close to 1-year old. The show features  another showcase with Jay-Z holding the twins too.

Now, a lot of people’s curiosity is piqued as to whether Blue Ivy or other precious family moments will be shared.

Cardi B channels Celia Cruz, Bumps It Up in Latest Music Video for ‘I Like It’

First-time mom-to-be rapper Cardi B  channels the late Cuban legend Celia Cruz in the video for  her hit song “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin off her first major industry album “Invasion of Privacy”.

The song samples a 1967 song of the same name  by Pete Rodriguez which has also been released by The Blackout Allstars group featuring Tito Puente, Sheila E and Ray Barretto so it makes sense.

The video, directed by Eif Rivera, follows the crew on their festive adventures, jamming in the calle, smoking hookahs, clubbing and living their best lives! It’s a great set up to be a summer banger!

Fashion wise, the “Bodak Yellow” hit maker wears a large flowing red empire waist gown that reveals her bump. There is heavy turban use which is also trending and lots of color! Love it!

The hard working pregnant lady just released another video a couple weeks ago for her song “Be Careful” which is a vendetta-esque Western theme. There’s a wedding and a funeral in it and the song is about infidelity and a woman fed up with her man’s wandering and unfaithful ways.

GET HER LOOK:

“I Like It” is currently number nine on the iTunes charts, but is  already on  the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The music video is the number one trending video on YouTube and already has over 10 million views.

Kate Spade Leaves Behind a Long Legacy for Fashion Lovers

Today, the Fashion Industry and pop culture enthusiasts and more are mourning the death of designer Kate Spade who reportedly took her own life today inside her New York City apartment.

As the investigation into the apparent suicide goes on, many today are posting and sharing their memories of their first Kate Spade New York bag, accessory or the like in social media.

Kate and her husband Andy, brother of actor David Spade, founded their handbag and accessories business in 1993 and grew it to international success with Kate being the designer, mastermind and face of the label.

It was iconic and in my youth, a Kate Spade bag was an “it” item to procure and show off. Her death is a reminder of two other fashion icons who commit suicide approximately, 4 and 8 years ago: LWren Scott, in 2014, who was also a longtime partner of Mick Jagger at the time, and Alexander McQueen in 2010. It is also a call for us all to heed to the importance of self-care, tending to our own mental health and checking in with those in our lives who may be dealing with inner turmoil or suffering from depression.

If you or someone you know needs help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

The last item of hers I purchased was a colorful striped iPhone cover.

When I think of Kate Spade, the following adjectives come to mind, as displayed through these wonderful pieces that represent her aesthetic in her brand, owned by Coach for the past 10 years:

What Successful Parents Do To Help Cultivate Their Child’s Development

Parenthood can be overwhelming, frustrating, and mystifying. Kids change so quickly, it feels like they’ve hit some new and incomprehensible stage every week. But at the same time, you know just how important it is to nurture their growth and help them succeed as healthy, stable adults.

There are many resources for understanding how your child will develop and learn, perhaps too many. From parenting books to mommy influencers on Instagram, it can be hard to pick apart just what advice to take. You might be tempted to turn it over to the experts, but that opens up a whole new area of research and complexity.

Traumatic experiences in early childhood can stay with kids for a lifetime, and lessons learned early are similarly formative–but when they hit a new phase faster than you can keep up, it can be tough to know what will hurt and what will help.

One option is leapfrogging self-study and going for a more structured, professional approach. If you’re wanting to aid in development and fast-track and deepen your understanding of your child’s growth stages and associated needs, an early childhood education degree might be the right solution for you. It will give you the tools to understand and support your own child’s development, and it has the added benefit of equipping you to use your knowledge in a professional capacity at a later date if you so choose.

If you’d like to do some preliminary research on your own, studying the stages of child development is a good place to start. While every child is unique, knowing these stages ahead of time tend to help you prepare and make more informed responses to your child’s changing behavior and needs.

For instance, there are a number of points throughout childhood and adolescence during which children practice asserting their identities and forming an independent identity from their family and parents. These developmental stages can be traumatic and upsetting, frustrating both parents and children. But if you know roughly when it’s coming and are prepared, you’re better able to put frustrating changes in behavior into context and respond supportively instead of reactively.

Creating a safe, but structured space is another effective way to support child development. It sounds deceptively simple but can be challenging and high impact. Ideally, you want both physical and emotional spaces that offer your child the opportunity for freedom and exploration without significant risk. At the same time, strong boundaries are reassuring to children, though the type of boundary and ways you assert it will change depending on your child’s age. An effective boundary allows scope for imagination and freedom, but places guardrails between the child and actual danger.

You can support your child’s development by taking some time to understand the common developmental stages and average timelines, preparing for each new developmental stage, and creating safe spaces and appropriate boundaries in relation to the needs of that stage. Whether you self-study or pursue professional qualifications, greater understanding and the ability to prepare can transform your experience and help your child grow in a healthy, successful manner.

Serena Williams Returns to Tennis, Launches Self-Named Athleisure Line

Serena Williams returned to world championship tennis 8-months after giving birth to her first child, now 8-months old Alexis Olympia Ohanian, and suited up for the occasion in a black body suit that has been called a Wakanda Black Panther-inspired and Super Hero catsuit.

“Catsuit anyone? For all the moms out there who have a tough recovery from pregnancy – here you go,” the 23-time Grand Slam Tennis Champ captioned an Instagram post of herself styling and profiling in the suit about to give up a fierce serve. “If I can do it, so can you. Love you all!!”

Page Six hypothesized that the outfit selection was timed with the release of Williams’ self-named 13-piece Athleisure wear collection, her first independent line.

“Introducing Serena, my first independent clothing line for all the ladies out there being awesome,” the 36-year old, 5’9″ phenom states in the ‘about us’ section of the line’s webpage. “My designs are inspired by strong, sexy, sophisticated, sassy, sure, smart, stylish, silly, and spontaneous women who are living their best lives, or making it up as they go—kinda like me.”

She joins our other Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums who have their own athletic wear lines including Beyonce who has Ivy Park…

Kate Hudson who reps Fabletics  and Carrie Underwood who has Calia Studios.

Kate Hudson’s Fabletics Line

Williams already endorses and is the product ambassador and spokespersons for other clothing brands and lends her names to some collaboration, like these below:

However, Serena, is her first independent line.

Editor’s Note: Personally, I am feeling them because I live in sweats and love to rock mock t-neck crop tops. So me! So the mom on the run, who manages several projects at the same time while trying to keep her household in order and still feel feminine and sexy because she may be a wife also.

The new mom won’t stop. She is also featured in the upcoming July issue of Harper’s Bazaar! Can’t wait to read it! Congrats on the new line!
